Sure.
I got into the habit of using tar (preserve symbolic links, etc.), but
"cp -r" should be fine for this case.

I've compiled the Vanilla Linux 2.6.26.3 and it also had the problem.
next I've compile 2.6.27-rc5 and the problem is solved there.

I don't think it is related to the move to GCC 4.1. I've compiled
firefox 1.5.0.5 from mozilla.org FTP using GCC 4.1 and it worked as
expected.
