I would need the following functions:
unsigned long get_flag(char)
- return flag for given character
- return 0 for invalid characters
- example: get_flag('s') returns EXT2_SECRM_FL
char get_char(unsigned long flag)
- return character for given flag
- return '?' for invalid flags
- example: get_flag(EXT2_SECRM_FL) returns 's'
unsigned long get_readonly_flags()
- return all read only flags (so I can provide an option to ignore
changes of read only flags)
AIDE has an option to ignore changes of given flags and marks then with
a colon in the report (e.g. `:ae---` for ignored
immutable flag); hence I cannot use the print_flags library function.
To iterate over the available flags the following function would help:
unsigned long get_available_flags()
* return all available flags
Unfortunately the bit order of the available flags does not match the
order returned by print_flags (sucSiadAmEIjtDTeVCxNPF vs
suSDiadAcEjItTeCxFNPVm). A function that returns the flag for a given
output position could solve that:
unsigned long output_get_flag(int)
- return flag for character position
- return 0 for positions > num_flags
- example: output_get_flag(4) returns EXT2_IMMUTABLE_FL

logcheck uses POSIX extended regular expression (ERE).
Your regular expression contains non-capturing group notation ('?:'),
which is not supported in ERE.
You can use `rgxg` to generate an extended regular expression for
'224.0.0.0/4':
$ rgxg cidr 224.0.0.0/4
(23[0-9]|22[4-9])(\.(25[0-5]|2[0-4][0-9]|1[0-9]{2}|[1-9]?[0-9])){3}
With this regular expression `logcheck-test` matches your example log
lines.

The aide package currently registers 157 configuration files with ucf.
The current dh_ucf script would generate 936 postinst lines and 2198

postrm lines.

Dear security team, as suggested by Sam I ask you to comment on the following issue. I want to statically link my package aide to libcurl, which is statically linked for security reasons. Since krb5 does not support static libraries any longer (#439039), the static library of libcurl is now useless (#495163) and therefor cannot be used by the aide package. The options so far proposed in the discussion are described in the quoted message below. I for one would really dislike to drop the static aide binary and think a static curl library without krb support is better than the current one, which is not usable at all. What is your opinion? Since the last update of pcscd (1.7.2-2 - 1.7.4-1) I got the following message on the console just several seconds after accessing the OpenPGP card (eg with gpg --card-status): Message from syslogd@carbon at Jul 1 18:08:00 ... 4 My card reader is Gemalto GemPC Express 00 00. I don't know which package is responsible for this bug, the involved
packages are cron-apt, aptitude, rkhunter, debsums and maybe others.
Please reassign this bug if aptitude is the wrong package.
From time to time (until now 9 times since 14 Dec 2010) aptitude on my
squeeze system (started by cron-apt) hangs in an endless loop executing
at least the commands mentioned in
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/{70debconf,90debsums,90rkhunter} over and over
again. The issue leads to a higher load and CPU usage on the affected
system.
I also observed the same problem on my testing/unstable/experimental
system (but only twice on 2011-01-21 and 2011-05-11). aptitude has been
upgraded on 2011-04-18 (aptitude 0.6.3-3.2 - 0.6.3-4).
The issue occurred also yesterday on the squeeze system and that process
is still running.

Package: tmux Version: 1.4-6 Severity: normal Hi, tmux segfaults if one closes the second pane in a window from which the third pane has been broke out recently. The error message on the terminal is: [lost server] The sequence to reproduce the problem is: $ tmux C-b C-b C-b ! C-b l $ exit I can reproduce this issue on a virtual machine with debian sid. Yes. 0.15.1-2+squeeze1 has been tested on 32-bit debian stable. One other question - why is aide defining both _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE and _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 ? The code doesn't actually seem to use the *64 functions, so the former seems somewhat redundant. It seems as if _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE has been originally added as part of a fix for compilation under Solaris[0]. aide 0.15.1-3 has reached testing some days ago without any problems. Please consider aide 0.15.1-3 in stable. 0.15.1-3 itself won't enter stable, but a 0.15.1-2+squeeze1 might. The diff for 0.15.1-2+squeeze1 is available on git.debian.org[1].
