Bug#988099: It works, the default is just wront

2021-05-07 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld

I just found that if I put "--collector.diskstats" in the ARGS of
/etc/default/prometheus-node-exporter and restart the service it works.
I didn't try this i in the first row as the documentation says that this
is default enabled anyways (so the bug basically just is, that the
description about the default is wrong!).

Bug#459660: system no longer available

2010-04-25 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
sorry, I can't re-test this issue because I don't have this system anymore.

I thought make-kpkg should only create .deb files that can be installed later
(it usually works this way).

I go to filesize view (the one with the colorful boxes) and delete (actually
move to recycle bin) a subdirectory of the directory i view during the
directories are scanned (not sure if this matters).
I was able to generate a segfault doing this 3 times now.

Bug#459660: deleted remote calendar resource is still synchronized

2008-01-07 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
Package: korganizer
Version: 4:3.5.8-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I played with importing calendars in ical format. I did with one, but it
didn't work (permission problem), so I immediately removed the new calendar
resource. in the create dialog I configured the resource to refresh every
hour. Since that I get a notification every hour that the calendar file from
the url cannot be read (caused by the permission problem mentioned above).

Bug#458581: closed by Martin Pitt [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Re: [Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#458581: caused by hardware problem)

2008-01-04 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
hi!
I think we should reopen this issue. I bought a new cable which seems to
contain the same chip as my old one (reports as
Bus 001 Device 013: ID 067b:2305 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2305 Parallel
Port
in lsusb). with this cable, it works from the windows machine, but I have the
same problems with my debian sid). I also tried other USB devices on my PC,
but all of them work as usual.

Bug#458581: caused by hardware problem

2008-01-02 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
hi!
today I did further research and found out that it doesn't work with another
PC too (windows). It works when using the original parallel cable (from
windows) so I expect my usb to parallel adapter is damaged.

so I'd say we can close this issue.

Bug#458581: cannot print to usb printer anymore

2008-01-01 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
Package: cupsys
Version: 1.3.5-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I don't use the printer very often so I can't tell when it worked the last
time (but it did exactly in the described configuration). I have a Kyocera
FS-1000 printer connected via a USB to parallel adapter. Previously I used
some HP laserjet PCL driver, but due to the current problems, i switched to
the gutenprint driver which should support my printer.

After noticing that the printer doesn't work anymore, I removed it and tried
the cups auto detection (everthing via the cups webgui). It didn't report
anything. From the output below you can see that the usb backend of cups does
report the printer. In a dpkg-reconfigure cupsys the usb backend is switched
on (parallel too, only scsi and serial are off).

Then I manually added the printer to cups (via webgui). I wasn't provided to
select the local usb port, but on the next page I set the port to
usb://Kyocera/FS-1000. With this configuration I tried the HPLJ PCL 4 and the
gutenprint driver. Both result in the status Printing page 1, 6% (sometimes
22%, value differs depending on the used driver). Then the usb process from
the cupsys backend consumes all my CPU unitl I abort the print job. The
printer status then doesn't change until I stop and start it.

I already switched cups logging to debug level, but I didn't find anything
that gives me a hint. dmesg output also doesn't return anything suspicious.

See some output
# lpinfo -v
network socket
network http
network ipp
network lpd
network smb

notice that usb is missing (no idea why, but it's also not available in the
webgui when adding a new printer)

2007-12-10 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
hi!
I just built as the wikipage says, but I only installed the built
kdesvn_0.14.1-1_amd64.deb (kdesvn-kio-plugins_0.14.1-1_amd64.deb,
libsvnqt4_0.14.1-1_amd64.deb and libsvnqt-dev_0.14.1-1_amd64.deb were built
too). kdesvn now starts fine, so with the self-built binary, the problem
doesn't exist (I didn't start it with gdb yet).

 Hi Jürgen,

could you please test, if you get this error with a new/clean user account?

yes, I just created a user named test, and the same problem exists here.

A backtrace from a debug build would be very helpful, I can provide you
with instructions, how to do it, if you need them.

please provide the instructions, I never did such a thing.

After enabling some of the plugins compiz seemed to work quite fine. I
accidently switched to a text console (ctrl-alt-f8). when comming back I just
saw a black screen with the mouse cursor. nothing else. switching back to the
text console didn't work. I was required to restart my pc using the magic
sysrequest keys.
I'm using KDE.

Which video driver/version are you using? Does switching to VT work fine
 when compiz is disabled?

I'm using the nvidia driver 100.14.19-1 from
http://people.debian.org/~rdonald/nvidia.

yes, switching to VT works fine without compiz.

Did the mouse cursor move when you came back from console? Even
ctrl-alt-backspace did not work to kill X?

yes, the mouse cursor did move. ctrl-alt-backspace didn't work. the only keys
that showed results were the magic sysrequest keys.

hi!
i have the same issue with screenshots, but i didn't have gwenview running in
any case. I was able to open the screenshots with kview, so the screenshot
itself was ok.
I'd say my screenshot could exceed the 200k, my resolution is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#418942: freezes very often

2007-04-12 Thread Jürgen Richtsfeld
Package: superkaramba
Version: 4:3.5.5-3
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
i'm running superkaramba quite some time now but since about 3 or 4 days
superkaramba freezes quite often. i think the problem arised when i purged
the package python2.5 because nothing depends on it. freezing means the
desktop where superkaramba shows something doesn't redraw and the tray icon
is inivisible ( i can still see that there should be something because of the
gap, but it doesn't react on clicking).
