Bug#797159: twinkle: 1.9.0 compiles and works on sid too
Package: twinkle Followup-For: Bug #797159 Hi there, after having been using twinkle for quite a while and missing it since squeeze I just figured that it's packaged again :) and then figured it's cli only :(. Writing a bug report I then found this thread and downloaded twinkle 1.9.0, too. Didn't manage to package it but it compiles, installs and seems to run just fine. --Yan -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)

Bug#609828: empathy: killing child processes on quit
Package: empathy Version: 2.30.3-1 Severity: wishlist since some issue with my internet connection two days ago empathy showed Network error for both google talk and facebook chat while they both worked otherwise (web browser and/or pidgin). tcpdump didn't show any related traffic when clicking Reconnect. mission-control debug output suggested: request_connection_cb: RequestConnection failed: Name 'org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Connection.gabble.jabber.jan_2ehetges_40chat_2efacebook_2ecom_2f8c6998f0' already in use by this process. restarting empathy didn't help. killing telepathy-mission-control-5 didn't help either. what finally did help was killing mission-control, telepathy-gabbler and telepathy-salut. and i think it is generally a good idea to kill all child processes upon quit! thank you for your consideration. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages empathy depends on: ii dbus-x11 1.2.24-4 simple interprocess messaging syst ii empathy-common2.30.3-1 GNOME multi-protocol chat and call ii gconf22.28.1-6 GNOME configuration database syste ii geoclue 0.12.0-1 Geographic information framework ii gnome-icon-theme 2.30.3-2 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii libatk1.0-0 1.30.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.8.10-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcanberra-gtk0 0.24-1 Gtk+ helper for playing widget eve ii libcanberra0 0.24-1 a simple abstract interface for pl ii libchamplain-0.4-00.4.6-2+b1 C library providing ClutterActor t ii libchamplain-gtk-0.4- 0.4.6-2+b1 A Gtk+ widget to display maps ii libclutter-1.0-0 1.2.12-3 Open GL based interactive canvas l ii libclutter-gtk-0.10-0 0.10.4-1 Open GL based interactive canvas l ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-4 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.88-2.1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libebook1.2-9 2.30.3-2 Client library for evolution addre ii libedataserver1.2-13 2.30.3-2 Utility library for evolution data ii libenchant1c2a1.6.0-1a wrapper library for various spel ii libfontconfig12.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.2-2.1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgconf2-4 2.28.1-6 GNOME configuration database syste ii libgeoclue0 0.12.0-1 C API for GeoClue ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libg 7.7.1-4A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.2-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-keyring0 2.30.1-1 GNOME keyring services library ii libgstfarsight0.10-0 0.0.22-1 Audio/Video communications framewo ii libgstreamer-plugins- 0.10.30-1 GStreamer libraries from the base ii libgstreamer0.10-00.10.30-1 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libjson-glib-1.0-00.10.2-2 GLib JSON manipulation library ii libnm-glib2 0.8.1-6network management framework (GLib ii libnotify1 [libnotify 0.5.0-2sends desktop notifications to a n ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.3-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsoup2.4-1 2.30.2-1 an HTTP library implementation in ii libtelepathy-farsight 0.0.16+is.0.0.14-1 Glue library between telepathy and ii libtelepathy-glib00.11.11-1 Telepathy framework - GLib library ii libunique-1.0-0 1.1.6-1.1 Library for writing single instanc ii libwebkit-1.0-2 1.2.5-2.1 Web content engine library for Gtk ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-4 X11 client-side library ii libxcomposite11:0.4.3-1 X11 Composite extension library ii libxdamage1 1:1.1.3-1 X11 damaged region extension libra ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxfixes31:4.0.5-1 X11 miscellaneous 'fixes' extensio ii libxml2 2.7.8.dfsg-2 GNOME XML library ii telepathy-mission-con 1:5.4.3-1 management daemon for Telepathy re ii zlib1g1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime Versions of packages empathy recommends: ii freedesktop-sound-theme 0.7.dfsg-1 freedesktop.org sound theme ii geoclue-hostip0.12.0-1 Position server for

Bug#419173: saslauthd with postfix broken in etch
Package: saslauthd Version: sasl2-bin Severity: normal Hi i just upgraded from sarge to stable and saslauth stopped working :( after following the steps in /usr/share/doc/sasl2-bin/README.Debian it still didn't work :( after reading http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=388562 i just did mkdir /etc/sasl ln -sf /etc/postfix/sasl/smtp.conf /etc/sasl/smtp.conf ...and it works again On Wed, 2006-12-06 at 22:13 +0100, Arno Bottema wrote: I received an email from Matthias Wamser regarding sasl2-bin looking for files in /etc/sasl. After placing the smtpd.conf in /etc/sasl and adding the postfix user into the sasl group, my postfix configuration worked again. Excellent! This confirms my suspicion about this actually being a postfix error. Postfix should be setting the plugin configuration path to /etc/postfix/sasl, but for some reason it doesn't. Postfix has a new version which should fix this issue: 2.3.4-3, which is in unstable now. I'm closing this bug (merging it with the postfix bugs would just add more clutter, so I'm not doing that). looks like it is _not_ fixed in postfix in stable :( Please note that the correct location for smtpd.conf *is* /etc/postfix/sasl as documented -- but that will only work once you install the fixed postfix. Your current setup will break when postfix is fixed, so keep your eyes open when upgrading postfix! so keep your eyes open when upgrading from sarge to etch ;) -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-486 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
