Bug#804150: gnome-flashback: windows move very slowly
Hi Alberts Muktupāvels, this is not very useful... Please try to provide more info so we can understand what is going on. I try to move a window to an other position on screen with left mouse button down. The window takes several seconds to reach the new position. There are no intermediate mouse positions lost. Thats, what I meant with "the window follows very slowly the mouse" 1) What video card do you have / video drivers? Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV370 [Radeon X300] 2) Do you have same problem when you disable compositing manager?: gsettings set org.gnome.metacity compositing-manager false yes 3) Which version was last that did not have this problem? stable Version - jessie I switched a few days ago 4) Do you have this problem only with server side decorations (gnome-terminal) and/or also with csd windows (nautilus)? no, with terminal, with nautilus, with every window Joachim

It is a helper application for the Flashback session, and it has nothing to do with windows moving. It may be an issue with Metacity (the default WM used in GNOME Flashback), but I wanted you to test a different WM to check if the issue is specific to Metacity. Mutter uses a similar codebase to is a good choice to test with. now I understand and tryed: yes, this is special to Metacity, with "mutter --replace" the terminal windows moves as expected. Joachim

Package: grub-coreboot-bin Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I changed my system partition to btrfs compressed (zlib). If the bootmenu comes from this partition it takes a long time ( 30 s) to show the bootmenu. After that waiting time all is OK. My solution: a little extra partition with ext2 and using of mount -t ext2 /dev/sdaX /media/grub2 grub-install --root-directory=/media/grub2 /dev/sda grub-mkconfig -o /media/grub2/boot/grub/grub.cfg With that change the timing is normal. Bug#707058: os-prober: os-prober makes different UUID's in same menuentry of a partition
Package: grub-common Version: 1.99-27+deb7u1 Severity: important File: os-prober Dear Maintainer, I was cloning a squeeze partition (- wheezy upgrade) in my testing machine. First with gparted and later also with tune2fs I changed the UUID of that partition and started update-grub (with os-prober active) in an other wheezy partition to make this cloned partition bootable. A boot of the cloned squeeze was not possible and in grub.cfg (in wheezy) I found an entry for this partition with two different UUID's: first (in search line) the new and second (in linux line) the old one. Changing the UUID of the cloned partition only effected the first entry. So I went to other computer with this partion (without an other partition with this UUID), put the old UUID in the partition and after update-grub I could boot cloned squeeze.
