Bug#667539: Openphoto unmaintained, homepage unreachable
Hello everyone, it seems the openphoto project is now abandoned. http://theopenphotoproject.org returns forbidden errors for all pages. It has been like this for some time (about 1 year if I recall correctly), and there are no active forks I could find. This bug report was untouched for 3+ years. I think this RFP should be closed. https://wiki.debian.org/FreedomBox/LeavingTheCloud should also probably be updated
Bug#770228: [Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#770228: tumbler: Tumbler uses huge amounts of RAM/IO/CPU on some files
Hi, I've updated the bug on xfce's tracker with gdb step-by-step output. This was the first attempt and was told it was not helpful. I've also tried using the gdb 'step' command instead of 'n' (not attached), not useful either. I was advised to rig the source with gprof https://www.cs.utah.edu/dept/old/texinfo/as/gprof_toc.html and see what loop is taking so much time. This is probably my next move. Bug#692830: ITP: nemo -- File manager for cinnamon
Nemo provides a lot of improvements to nautilus' user experience, including: *Unified, configurable toolbar: you can add/remove the following: up icon, refresh icon, toggle button for the location bar / path bar, home icon, computer icon and search icon. * Detachable tabs * Option to show the full path in the titlebar and tab bars (Preferences Display) * Displays an elevated privileges banner when running as root * Built in Open as root context menu item * Built in Open in terminal context menu item * Added GTK bookmarks to the MoveTo/CopyTo context menus * Added Set as Wallpaper to the context menu * Switch view buttons on the toolbar (Grid, List and Compact views) * Drag and drop support for the bookmarks in the sidebar * Sidebar: indicators under each drive, displaying the free/used space * Collapsable sidebar categories * Support for sending files via Thunderbird and xdg-email * Image properties improvements (merged from Nautilus 3.6) * Memory leaks fixes (merged from Nautilus 3.6) So, redundancy is only partially true. I strongly suggest you accept Nemo into Debian official repositories (provided the packages are good quality and lintian-clean). If not, then nautilus maintainers should incorporate these changes to their file manager (which I think would be preferable, and alleviate the need for a fork such as Nemo). I don't think they're willing to do this. Thanks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
Bug#694508: kiwix: Kiwik does not remember loaded bookmark sets
I guess not having an unload button will be ok, as long as the bookmark sets list does not grow too much. Even then, editing the relevant config file to unclutter it is fine. Thanks for your quick reply! Julien

This issue should not happen (and I wasn't able to reproduce it here, so it is probably already gone...) Cheers, Matthias Hi, well I am unable to reproduce it on the machine i am using now. This is the same version as used before (3.4.2-1), but it looks like the bug is gone. Anyway I think it is safe to close this ticket. If I am able to reproduce this bug later, i'll reopen it. Bug#644716: synapse: Missing french translation after upgrade
Package: synapse Version: 0.2.8.1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, After upgrading synapse from 0.2.6x to the 0.2.8.1-1 currently in wheezy, the program's interface is no longer translated into french. I don't know whether it is a build issue of if it's related to the upstream source, but this is a regression since synapse 0.2.6 was correctly displaying the french translation. Translation status on the project's launchpad page looks ok (French: 97%), so I wonder if we could get the translation in the official debian package? Thanks. Bug#644359: gdm3: gdmsetup should allow greeter configuration
Package: gdm3 Version: 2.30.5-11 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, the graphical gdmsetup configuration tool should allow tweaking the options in /usr/share/gdm/greeter-config/* files. The tool could parse the other greeter config files on first run, in order to generate the default template for 99z_gdmsetup. For now these settings are only accessible by manually editing the greeter config files, which is not very user-friendly (at least for a *graphical* login screen...). Bug#638721: notification-daemon does not start automatically, missing dbus service file
Package: notification-daemon Version: 0.7.1-3 Severity: grave Tags: patch Justification: renders package unusable Since the latest notification-daemon upgrade to 0.7, it is not automatically started, and I have to start it manually. This results in notification not being shown anymore, even important ones. Some programs (gnome-power-manager) display their notifications by popping up a classic dialog box, which grabs focus and forces the user to click OK to close it. This is caused by /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service not being included in the updated package. PLEASE restore this file asap, as it breaks the whole notification system for most wheezy users currently. What i have done: wget -O /tmp/memcpy-10.3.162.29.bsdiff https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/secure/attachment/70204/memcpy-10.3.162.29.bsdiff sudo aptitude -Ry install bsdiff sudo bspatch /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib /flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so.new /tmp/memcpy-10.3.162.29.bsdiff sudo mv /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so.new /usr/lib /flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so rm /tmp/memcpy-10.3.162.29.bsdiff Thanks. -- Package-specific info: Debian version: wheezy/sid Architecture: amd64 Package version: 1:2.8.3 Adobe Flash Player version: LNX 10,3,162,29 MD5 checksums: 49b55c7eb8044453e5f6f2e4b3cb4084 /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree/flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710.tar.gz 35c297ffef7a5a7ed8fb4f5526ced799 /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so Alternatives: flash-mozilla.so - auto mode link currently points to /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so - priority 50 Current 'best' version is '/usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so'. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 Jun 17 13:49 /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flash-mozilla.so - /etc/alternatives/flash-mozilla.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flash-mozilla.so: symbolic link to `/etc/alternatives/flash-mozilla.so' -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages flashplugin-nonfree depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.39 Debian configuration management sy ii gnupg 1.4.11-3 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii libatk1.0-0 2.0.0-1The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libcairo2 1.10.2-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.21.6-2 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libfontconfig12.8.0-2.2 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.4-1FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.6.0-10 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.28.6-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.4-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libnspr4-0d 4.8.8-2NetScape Portable Runtime Library ii libnss3-1d3.12.10-1 Network Security Service libraries ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.3-6 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libstdc++64.6.0-10 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.3-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.3.0-3 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxt61:1.1.1-2 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii wget 1.12-3.1 retrieves files from the web flashplugin-nonfree recommends no packages.
