I can confirm the bug with the Xorg radeon driver, and I can also confirm that it can be solved by installing firmware-linux-nonfree. It would be nice if it could be solved without the nonfree firmware, but I pretty happy with the current solution. Thanks a lot.

Bug#581525: rt2860: rt2860 doesn't connect to WPA2 networks
