Bug#934106: [Patched upstream] Fatal error PUTing VJOURNAL calendar item

2019-08-06 Thread Matthew W.S. Bell
Package: davical
Version: 1.1.8-1

Hi,

I experience this error[2] using evolution 3.32.2-1 when creating new
memos. It is a simple typo and is fixed upstream,[1] so please, in addition
to any normal upload, would you consider it for a stable point release.

Thanks,
Matthew

Bug#917054: Template parse error near `in Sekunden.', in stanza #18 of /var/lib/dpkg/info/dump1090-mutability.templates

2018-12-21 Thread Matthew W.S. Bell
Package: dump1090-mutability

Severity: grave

This version of the package is uninstallable:

dpkg: error processing package dump1090-mutability (--configure):

returned error exit status 25

Examining the package's template file reveals that, in the stanza for
dump1090-mutability/net-out-interval, wrapping of multiple lines is not as
rfc2822(?) records require. This seems to be the only issue, and resolving
it allows the package to finish installing.

Bug#868292: /usr/share/doc/opendnssec/conf.xml uses not /usr/lib/softhsm/libsofthsm2.so for SoftHSM(2)

2017-07-14 Thread Matthew W.S. Bell
Package: opendnssec-common

Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Due to a flurry of small problems with terrible error messages, I found
upgrading OpenDNSSEC from using SoftHSM to SoftHSM2 somewhat confusing
and tedious.

One issue was per the subject line; please would you update it to use
the correct library. (I went on a small adventure trying to install
libpkcs11.so due to an error that turned out to be entirely unrelated.)

Thanks,
Matthew

Bug#829404: dpkg-maintscript-helper dir_to_symlink confused when changing from amd64 to all on upgrade of package imagemagick

2016-07-02 Thread Matthew W.S. Bell
Package: dpkg
Version: 1.18.7
Severity: serious
Justification: Prevents the installation of a packages/leaves package
in a broken state.

Hi,

Installing a new version of the package imagemagick is failing:

The current status of the package imagemagick from dpkg -l is:

The problematic output appears to be coming from
dpkg-maintscript-helper, invoked with the following dpkg environment
variables, and command line:
DPKG_ROOT=
DPKG_MAINTSCRIPT_DEBUG=1
DPKG_MAINTSCRIPT_ARCH=all
DPKG_RUNNING

8:6.9.2.10+dfsg-2

The problem seems to be that dpkg-maintscript-helper is expecting that
the already installed version is of the same architecture as given in
DPKG_MAINTSCRIPT_ARCH. It is unclear to me if this is a deficiency of
dpkg-maintscript-helper or the caller.

Thanks,
Matthew W.S. Bell

Bug#680153: ia32-libs-i386: Add option for libjack-jackd2-0

2012-07-03 Thread Matthew W.S. Bell
Package: ia32-libs-i386

Hi,

Please add an option for libjack-jackd2-0 instead of libjack. This seems
standard on other packages, and leads me to believe the provided
libraries are ABI compatible. libjack-jackd2-0 already has multiarch
support (as of 1.9.8~dfsg.3+20120418gitf82ec715-6).

Bug#658271: Quitting from curses interface has no effect.

2012-02-01 Thread Matthew W.S. Bell
Package: aptitude
Version: 0.6.4-1.2

On occasion, within the aptitude curses interface, pressing 'q' results
in no discernible and activating the Actions→Quit menu item results in
only the menu closing/disappearing. No CPU usage is reported. Using C-c
closes aptitude. (On then running the aptitude curses interface,
quitting works.)

I have some non-default preferences such as hiding the menu bar and not
showing common actions.
