2019-09-22 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Hello,

This is a Kirigami2 issue. I am trying to find a solution upstream.

Please move it to this package.

It may be a good idea to change the severity given that all applications using

Bug#895253: ITP: elisa -- Simple music player with a focus on Plasma desktop integration and privacy

2018-04-14 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Hello,

I would like to clarify the local versus online music features in Elisa.

We plan to first focus on very good support for local music before trying to
support online services.

Local music was the focus of the 0.1 version and will probably be also the
focus of the next version.

I have started looking at online services and most of the popular ones no
longer provide a simple way to use them outside their clients. We will need
time to add support for them.

We would also want to add support for MusicBrainz for example even if again
the priority is to first support correctly local music before adding support
for that.

Best regards

Bug#843250: qml-module-qtquick-controls is broken and breaks software using it

2016-11-05 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: qml-module-qtquick-controls
Version: 5.7.1~20161021-2
Severity: important

Since the last upload (5.7.1~20161021-2) it seems something is broken.
plasmashell is giving me errors of type:
file:///usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/qt5/qml/QtQuick/Controls/Styles/Plasma/TextFieldStyle.qml:76: TypeError:
Property 'hasOwnProperty' of object TextField_QMLTYPE_151(0x3aeed10) is not a
function

I have a software build locally (I rebuilt it agains current Qt) that is giving
me the same type of errors:
file:///usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/QtQuick/Controls/ScrollView.qml:198:
TypeError: Property 'hasOwnProperty' of object
QQuickListView_QML_56(0x561fa9169fe0) is not a function
file:///usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/QtQuick/Controls/ScrollView.qml:198:
TypeError: Property 'hasOwnProperty' of object
QQuickListView_QML_56(0x561fa9321770) is not a function

I believe bug #843208 is a symptom of this.

Best regards (and by the way thanks for your work that is really appreciated).

Bug#729602: qtbase5-dev: cmake fails to find Sql Qt5 package if all Sql drivers are not installed

2013-11-14 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: qtbase5-dev
Version: 5.2.0~beta1+dfsg-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
Trying via cmake to find Qt5 Sql module cannot work because
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/cmake/Qt5Sql/Qt5Sql_QTDSDriverPlugin.cmake refer to
files installed by package libqt5sql5-tds. This package is not a dependency of
qtbase5-dev and in my opinion rightly.
A possible solution could be to install the cmake file of Sql drivers at the
same time than the Sql driver plugin.

Thanks in advance

Bug#574883: libqjson-dev: FindQJSON.cmake is not found when using cmake-2.8

2010-03-21 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: libqjson-dev
Version: 0.7.1-1

Hello,

I was very pleased to found that qjson was packaged in Debian.
The only minor annoyance I had is that when trying to compile code
requiring it, FindQJSON.cmake was not found without setting explicitely
a CMAKE_MODULE_PATH including /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules.

Could you please check if it is expected or if there is another solution ?
I have no idea how one is supposed to install in Debian modules for cmake.

Bug#473658: qt4-x11: Provide a virtual libqt4-core package to replace the existing old one

2008-03-31 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: qt4-x11
Version: 4.4.0~beta1-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi
Thank you for packaging the beta of qt4.4. This means I will be able to rebuild
the latest kde4 without over filling my little partition with qt4 build tree.

I have a little annoyance with the split of libqt4-core of qt4.3 in three
packages libqtcore4 and libqt4-xml and libqt4-network (If there is no mistake
from myself). It is no longer possible to use current kde4 packages that are
yet built for powerpc.
So is possible to add a virtual package libqt4-core that requires the same
subset of modules that it direclty provided in earlier versions.

Thanks in advance for any comments

Best regards

Bug#465759: ktorrent: symbol lookup error [PPC]

2008-02-14 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: ktorrent
Version: 2.2.5.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi,
I do not know which severity best fits this bug so I set it normal. Feel free
to change it.

When I start ktorrent I get the following error:
ktorrent: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libktorrent-2.2.5.so: undefined symbol:

It seems that my package is correct (reportbug checked its integrity and found
no problem).
Maybe the build used some ppc64 lib ? I do not know.

Severity: normal

Due to the last upload of hal, there is regression in the support of pmu.
None of them seems complicated to fix as I was able to find workarounds
without prior knowledge of hal and dbus stuff..

The symptom was that I was no longer able to suspend to ram using kpowersave.
I used qdbusviewer to interacts with hald and also executed hals in a console.
I found that /usr/lib/hal/hal-system-power-pm-is-supported reports to hal that
my computer cannot suspend to ram. This is wrong. Since the regression, I was
able to suspend my computer using:
/usr/lib/hal/hal-system-power-pmu sleep

I believe that /usr/lib/hal/hal-system-power-pm-is-supported should be fixed to
at least say yes when an hal helper is able to do the job.
So I have added:

dbus-send --system --type=method_call --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal \
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer
org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SetPropertyBoolean \
string:'power_management.can_suspend' boolean:true

dbus-send --system --type=method_call --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal \
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer
org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SetPropertyBoolean \
string:'power_management.can_suspend_to_ram' boolean:true

to my /etc/rc.local to enforce hal to believe that my computer can suspend to
ram.
Now kpowersave offers the command. Yeah !!!

Second problem, /usr/lib/hal/scripts/linux/hal-system-power-suspend-linux is not
able to suspend to ram my computer. There the problem is that hal apparently
only
supports pm-utils. Again, adding those some lines solved the problem:

if [ $HAL_PROP_POWER_MANAGEMENT_TYPE == pmu ] ; then
if [ -x /usr/lib/hal/hal-system-power-pmu ] ; then
/usr/lib/hal/hal-system-power-pmu sleep
RET=$?
else
unsupported
fi
else
[...]
fi

My computer is an iBook G4 with those informations:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
cpu : 7447A, altivec supported
clock : 666.666000MHz

So I submit this report to debian as I know that other debian users have the
problem. I do not really have time to forward it to hal bug tracking system,
even if I think that the regression is theirs. Do not hesitate to ask for more
informations.

So, I do not know what you can do, but it had to be reported.
Thanks for your work on hal.
Thanks in advance for your attention.

Best regards

Hi,
sorry for my english, and thanks for the good work you have done.

Bug#420813: libedit-dev: please provide a pkgconfig file

2007-04-24 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: libedit-dev
Version: 2.9.cvs.20050518-3
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

Hi,
pkgconfig is a cool tool to manage build dependencies and to detect
where are libraries and headers. I use it, and I use libedit in one of
my project.
I provide you a patch that adds in an ugly way a .pc file to
libedit-dev. I made it on the source got with apt-get source.
It would be cool if you can review my patch and include it in the debian
package.

Thanks in advance,
Best regards

Bug#406221: kicker: Most of icons does not show in systray with dual-head radeon pseudo-xinerama

2007-01-09 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: kicker
Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5
Severity: normal

I have set up a dual-head display using radeon open source driver and
Xorg 7.1. The second screen is a LCD one. The two screens have different
resolutions and I use the option to forgive scrolling in the little
screen of my laptop. I have asked to kicker and kasbar to be on the
second screen (the one of the laptop).
In the systray, I used to hide some icons and to show in particular
kopete and kontact. Since I use my dual-head config, their icons are not
visible if no mails are not read or if kopete is connected. The icons
are shown if a mail is not read or if kopete is not connected.

Sorry for my english,
Don't hesitate to ask for more informations if needed.

2007-01-09 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: kivio

Please can you provide a way to resize object in kivio without having a
fixed ratio. In kivio, if you use the corner handle to resize objects,
the rationof the width and height is fixed. Please can you allow a
simple way to do this resizing with a free ratio like in dia.
In dia, just hit the shift key to have fixed ration and do nothing to
have free ratio. You can also open a dialog box to save a permanent
rule.

Bug#406072: dia: Problem with magnetic grid

2007-01-08 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: dia
Version: 0.95.0-4.1+b1
Severity: normal

Hello

When drawing with the option magnetic grid, I made two rectangle.
The first one is correctly constrained to the grid.
When I draw the second rectangle inside the first one all is ok. But
when I change the size of the second little rectangle, I can do what I
want, the magnetic grid option is totally ignored. I do more
investigation and I found that the magnetic grid is not took into
account when I resize a rectabgle inside another rectangle (i.e. when
the mouse is inside another rectangle).

Bug#401184: libqt4-gui: Bounding box problem with QGraphicsLineItem and QGraphicsScene QGraphicsView

2006-12-01 Thread Matthieu Gallien
Package: libqt4-gui
Version: 4.2.1-2
Severity: normal

I have a problem with the bounding box of QGraphicsLineItem when the
line is vertical. In my application I draw horizontal line that can be
moved to represent tasks in a graph. Between those lines, I draw arrow
using other lines. When I move the tasks, sometimes an arrow becomes a
vertical line and if I continue to move the tasks in such a way that
the
line remains vertical but is translated horizontally, there is a
problem. The problem is that a little part in the middle of the line
remains at an older position while the remaining parts of the line are
at
the correct position. So there seems to be a problem with the bounding
box. I have tested on a pc at my work that runs Fedora Core also in
x86,
so it may not be a PowerPC specific problem.
I can join a screen capture illustrating the problem.
