Since upgrading to kernel 2.6.37, the bug has disappeared for me (I had other
weird bugs involving my Radeon. Could have been related to buggy radeon
support in earlier kernels).

k3b hangs at startup when the Splash Screen says verifying CD drives
(not sure of what it says in English). Same as root. k3bsetup works only
as root (hangs as normal user without message) but does not find any
