Bug#818152: [Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#818152: lightdm: can no longer manage multiple X servers
Hi Yves-Alexis Perez, Very sorry but you are wrong, there are more users that need that. Not much but still. Personally I wanted to configure multi-session support in Xorg (not multi-seat). As I see, there is no way to do that on Debian 9. What about to "nobody complained" - well, I'm complaining now, and just because I've got new hardware and tried to setup fresh system. I had no need to complain earlier because my old system (Debian 7) still works fine and does what I needed. Now I see no other option to get what I want on new hardware except to setup Debian 7. I will be glad if I understood something wrong, and Xorg multi-session is possible on current Debian 9 (any DM will be fine for me). If so, please reply here or into my message in users mailing list: https://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2017/10/msg00335.html Hope this will be solved. Thank you! Bug#698471: kdm: keyboard focus missing in XDMCP Host Menu
Package: kdm Version: 4:4.8.4-5 Severity: important I'm using libvirt and run several hosts under kvm. When I'm trying to open X connection to them in KDM (Atr+R), then XDMCP Host Menu opens, but there is no focused item. Also, I can't change focus by Tab key. As result, I have to use mouse to select host to connect to. Keyboard is not usable in this window at all. After selecting host by mouse, everything works as expected. Previously, on Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.6 (squeeze) with same configuration, focus was on list with hostnames, and first item was selected, and it's was possible to select needed host by Up/Down arrows, and press Enter to connect to it. Also, it was possible immediately start typing hostname, and focus instantly moves to Host input. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (700, 'stable'), (600, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages kdm depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii consolekit0.4.5-3.1 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.49 ii kde-runtime 4:4.8.4-2 ii kde-wallpapers-default4:4.8.4-1 ii kde-workspace-kgreet-plugins 4:4.8.4-5 ii libc6 2.13-37 ii libck-connector0 0.4.5-3.1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.6.8-1 ii libkdecore5 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkdeui5 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkio5 4:4.8.4-4 ii libknewstuff3-4 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkworkspace4abi14:4.8.4-5 ii libpam0g 1.1.3-7.1 ii libqimageblitz4 1:0.0.6-4 ii libqt4-svg4:4.8.2+dfsg-9 ii libqt4-xml4:4.8.2+dfsg-9 ii libqtcore44:4.8.2+dfsg-9 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.2+dfsg-9 ii libstdc++64.7.2-5 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii libxau6 1:1.0.7-1 ii libxdmcp6 1:1.1.1-1 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.1-1 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian8 Versions of packages kdm recommends: ii kde-window-manager [x-window-manager] 4:4.8.4-5 ii kde-workspace 4:4.8.4-5 ii konsole [x-terminal-emulator] 4:4.8.4-2 ii logrotate 3.8.1-4 ii rxvt-unicode [x-terminal-emulator] 9.15-2 ii xserver-xorg [xserver] 1:7.7+1 Versions of packages kdm suggests: pn kde-wallpapers none ii kdepasswd 4:4.8.4-2 -- Configuration Files: /etc/kde4/kdm/Xaccess changed: * #any host can get a login window /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc changed: [General] ConfigVersion=2.4 ConsoleTTYs=tty1,tty2,tty3,tty4,tty5,tty6 GreeterUID=kdm PidFile=/var/run/kdm.pid ReserveServers= ServerVTs=-4,-5,-6,-7 StaticServers=:0,:1,:2,:3 [Shutdown] BootManager=None HaltCmd=/sbin/shutdown -h -P now RebootCmd=/sbin/shutdown -r now [X-*-Core] AllowNullPasswd=false AllowRootLogin=false AllowShutdown=Root AutoReLogin=false ClientLogFile=.xsession-errors-%d Reset=/etc/kde4/kdm/Xreset Session=/etc/kde4/kdm/Xsession Setup=/etc/kde4/kdm/Xsetup Startup=/etc/kde4/kdm/Xstartup [X-*-Greeter] AntiAliasing=false ColorScheme= FaceSource=AdminOnly FailFont=Sans Serif,10,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0 GUIStyle= GreetFont=Serif,20,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 GreetString=Welcome to %s at %n GreeterPos=50,50 HiddenUsers= Language=en_US LogoArea=Logo LogoPixmap=/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/pics/kdelogo.png MaxShowUID=2 MinShowUID=1000 Preloader=/usr/bin/preloadkde SelectedUsers= ShowUsers=NotHidden SortUsers=true StdFont=Sans Serif,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 Theme= UseBackground=true UseTheme=true UserCompletion=false UserList=true [X-:*-Core] AllowNullPasswd=true AllowShutdown=All NoPassEnable=true NoPassUsers=cub ServerArgsLocal=-br -nolisten tcp ServerCmd=/usr/bin/X [X-:*-Greeter] AllowClose=true DefaultUser=cub FocusPasswd=true LoginMode=DefaultLocal PreselectUser=Previous [X-:0-Core] AutoLoginEnable=true AutoLoginLocked=false AutoLoginUser=cub ClientLogFile=.xsession-errors [Xdmcp] Enable=true Willing=/etc/kde4/kdm/Xwilling -- debconf information: kdm/stop_running_server_with_children: false * shared/default-x-display-manager: kdm kdm/daemon_name: /usr/bin/kdm -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#582022: couchdb: Incorrect dependencies
Package: couchdb Version: 0.11.0-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable As one of dependencies, couchdb/testing package have libjs-jquery, without version specified. In most systems, by default will be installed stable version, which currently is 1.2.6-2. But JS files from Futon use this.live() call, which is not present in jQuery prior to 1.3.x (if I remember correctly). At least, live() call is absent in libjs-jquery-1.2.6-2, and so, right after instaling Futon interface can't be used. To fix this problem, libjs-jquery/testing should be installed manually. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable'), (800, 'testing'), (700, 'unstable'), (600, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages couchdb depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii erlang-base [erlang-abi- 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP virtual machine and bas ii erlang-crypto1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP cryprographic modules ii erlang-inets 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP Internet clients and se ii erlang-ssl 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP implementation of SSL ii erlang-tools 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP various tools ii erlang-xmerl 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP XML tools ii libc62.10.2-6Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcurl3 7.18.2-8lenny4 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libicu42 4.2.1-3 International Components for Unico ii libjs-jquery 1.4.2-2 JavaScript library for dynamic web ii libmozjs2d 1.9.1.9-7 The Mozilla SpiderMonkey JavaScrip ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii mawk 1.3.3-11.1 a pattern scanning and text proces ii procps 1:3.2.7-11 /proc file system utilities couchdb recommends no packages. couchdb suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#577607: libjs-jquery-ui is unusable because of incompatibility with libjs-jquery
Package: libjs-jquery-ui Version: 1.7.2-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Currently, version of libjs-jquery-ui is 1.7.2, and it depends on libjs-jquery=1.3.2, but this is incorrect, because jQueryUI-1.7.2 is compatible with jQuery-1.3.x only, and not compatible with jQuery-1.4.x. Bug#513061: xserver-xorg: Half-working kbd and non-working touchpad
Which environment do you start? KDE 3.5 from Lenny (not experimental). Do you change the keyboard layout with xmodmap or so? No (at least, directly by me). Does your desktop environment change the keyboard config? Not sure. But before upgrade all works as expected. I use two-language layout, that was configured via standart KDE tools (I mean Control center). How I can check this? Returning to touchpad - really not all works correctly. Yes, it work after suspend or switching to tty, but now I'm lost scroll areas on it - they both just not works. In other words, touchpad don't send button-4/5/6/7 events anymore. This happens even right after powerup and without switching to tty or suspending. -- Sincerely yours, Oleg Kostyuk (CUB-UANIC) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#513061: xserver-xorg: Half-working kbd and non-working touchpad
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 1:7.4~5 Severity: important Hello, After today's upgrade to lastest Xorg, I have two problems: 1) On Xorg login screen (without loggin into system), if I switch to any tty and then back to Xorg, then touchpad is stop working at all, and Alt key is stop working also (so I can't use Alt+E to restart Xorg and Ctrl+Alt+BkSp to kill Xorg). Restarting Xorg (by switching to tty and issue /etc/init.d/kdm restart) fixes this problem. 2) After resume from suspend-to-disk touchpad stop working. Restarting Xorg also fixes this problem. Both problems 100%% reproduceable. I use Debian Lenny with Xorg from experimental on Dell Studio 1535. Bug#513061: xserver-xorg: Half-working kbd and non-working touchpad
Second problem seems fixed. For some reason after installing bunch of *-dev packages (for compiling patched video-intel driver) package xserver-xorg-input-synaptics was deleted by aptitude. Why it was deleted - this is another, but still interesting question. After removing *-dev packages and reinstalling xserver-xorg-input-synaptics touchpad working without any problems. But first problem (non-working Alt after switching to tty and returning to Xorg logon screen) is still here. Btw, after logging to X behavior of Alt key is not affected by switching to tty and back. -- Sincerely yours, Oleg Kostyuk (CUB-UANIC) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
