Bug#466980: perl: CPAN installs in different directories

2008-02-22 Thread Paul van der Holst
Package: perl
Version: 5.8.8-12
Severity: normal

When installing/updating perl packages with cpan, it installs in the
/usr/local/share/perl/ directory but the old version is in /usr/share/perl/
directory.
With some packages the old version is still there and it conflicts...

Is this simpel to fix? I can't find anything about it in the README...

Example:
/usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/Thread/Semaphore.pm
/usr/share/perl/5.8.8/Thread/Semaphore.pm

in /usr/local/ is the latest and the /usr/share is the old one...

Bug#409597: wine wont startup, with every thing.

2007-02-04 Thread Paul van der Holst
Package: wine

Version: 0.9.29-1

Severity: grave

Every time I want to start wine, I get the following error. I have tried to
remove / purge the files but nothing helped so far.

Also search Google or something won't help either.

Hopefully it is a simple error, though kind of irritating.

I am using the latest debian unstable version..

Thanks,

Paul

Bug#370782: cacti no poller output

2006-06-06 Thread Paul van der Holst

Package: cacti
Version: 0.8.6h-3
Severity: grave

I am doing the old fashion way, because reportbug is broken (see other
bug report =])

I've installed cacti to my server, using apt-get install cacti all
depencies were installed with it.
The website of cacti is working, though when running the poller.php, i
get an error:

noc:/etc# sudo -u noc /usr/share/cacti/site/poller.php

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in
/usr/share/php/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 373

All is setup correctly so i really don't know what the problem is.

Hopefully someone can help me

I am using Debian Unstable, (updated every day) on a p4 2.8GHz with
2.6.15 kernel.

Bug#336318: compiling mod_watch in apache2

2005-10-29 Thread Paul van der Holst
Package: apache2
Version: 2.0.55-3
Severity: wishlist

Is it possible to add mod_watch: http://www.snert.com/Software/mod_watch/
into apache2?
So I can add this for monitoring my virtualhosts? We sell webhosting and want
to monitor per virtualhost its bandwidth.
With this mod it is possible.. but it would be great to have it precompiled
into my apache2

Or somebody has another option

thanks!

only4clans:~# pear upgrade-all
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class:
pear_command_auth-init in /usr/share/php/PEAR/Command.php on line 271

it gives that error..
I've searched and fixed mine problem.. but hopefully this can be fixed for
other people aswell

In the PEAR/Command directory there are files like Auth-init.php that
should
not be automatically included by Command::registerCommands(). The fix
for me was to alter line 263 to look like this:

if ($entry{0} == '.' || substr($entry, -4) != '.php' || $entry ==
'Common.php' || (strpos($entry,'-') !== false)) {

Hopefully this can help some people!
Sincerely
Paul

Bug#330865: webmin wont show cron's from other users, also adding new for root wont work...

2005-09-30 Thread Paul van der Holst
Package: webmin
Version: 1.230-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

I have 2 debian boxes running, both are using unstable release.
On both i got the same problem, which is that my cronjobs for other
users aren't showing correctly...

Also when i want to add a new cronjob for the user root, which should work..
it wont show up in the menu.. when i check with my commandline..
i can see it.. same as the other users cron's..

Hopefully this can be fixed.. but sadly webmin doesn't support debian very
well...
Do something about that for crying out loud
