Bug#950349: python2.7: python 2.7.17-1+b1 localization for the decimal point, "." vs "," has broken rrdtool

2020-01-31 Thread Pedro MGP
Package: python2.7
Version: 2.7.17-1+b1
Severity: important

My localization uses the comma for decimal point and prinft output uses that
format.

ERROR: /media/ups/ups.rrd: Function update_pdp_prep, case DST_GAUGE - Converted
'42,0' to 42,00, but cannot convert ',0'

Changing "42,0" to "42.0" (printf "%.1f",blah | tr "," ".") solved it, was
working before with python2.7.17-1.

Bug#898021: linux-image-4.16.0-1-amd64: kernel 4.16 infinite wait after dm login on ivy bridge and bay trail

2018-05-05 Thread Pedro MGP
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.16.5-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

kernel 4.16 on debian testing is causing an infinite wait after the FIRST
display manager authentication.

clicking the mouse buttons alternately L-R-L-R sometimes ceases it. subsequent
authentications are good. rebooting repeats it.
tested with lightdm and xdm, and xfce and lxqt.

seen on yvy bridge and bay trail systems using integrated intel graphics. ok on
dicrete nvidia graphics using the vendor driver, and old GMA3000 and N550
(pineview) systems.

all fine when booting 4.15.
