Bug#755511: xjobs: -j option doesn't accept x suffix

2014-07-21 Thread Peter Palm
Package: xjobs
Version: 20120412-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The manpage states:
If the number passed as jobs is followed by an 'x' charakter (e.g. 2.5x),
the value is multiplied with the number of online processors before setting
the job limit.

This doesn't work as written, but if I use an uppercase X, it does work.

Looking at the source however, I can't understand why an uppercase X does work,
and the lowercase doesn't.

Kind regards,

Peter Palm

Bug#484250: Wrong keybindings for languages other than english

2008-06-03 Thread Peter Palm
Package: lynx
Version: 2.8.6-2
Severity: important
Tags: l10n

When LANG is set to, for example, nl_NL.UTF-8, when I go to a site that wants
to set a cookie, I get the following question:
[site] koekje: JSESSIONID=5A6... Toestaan? J)a, N)ee, A)ltijd, V)-nooit

Which translates to:

cookie: JSESSIONID... Allow? Y)es, N)o, A)lways, V)-never

The problem is, the key I have to enter to allow the cookie to be set, is 'Y'
instead of 'J', which is confusing.

Bug#412690: It's a jsvc problem

2008-05-06 Thread Peter Palm
I can confirm this, this bug bites me since I upgraded yesterday, I did
not upgrade my (customised) kernel, so that's not the problem,
CAPABILITIES are enabled in the kernel.

A dpkg-buildpackage on jsvc and reinstalling the (just built)
commons-daemon and jsvc packages, with /usr/include/linux pointing to
my kernel/include/linux dir, fixed the problem.

Bug#415690: libinstrudeo0: missing required files - crash

2007-03-21 Thread Peter Palm
Package: libinstrudeo0
Version: 0.1.4

Hi,

libinstrudeo0 (as used by screenkast) doesn't include the
directory /usr/share/libinstrudeo, which is searched for fonts and
textballoon objects.

If you try to add a textballoon, the program gives an error it can't
load a font, and an error saying error while accessing a generic
commentbox.

cp -R debian/tmp/user/share/libinstrudeo to /usr/share (from within the
apt-get source'd directory of libinstrudeo) solves the problem.

Bug#412487: icewm: don't suggest using ln to update-alternatives

2007-02-26 Thread Peter Palm
Package: icewm
Version: 1.2.30-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

After installing icewm, I noticed it hinted at changing the
alternatives to x-window-manager using 'ln':

Setting up icewm (1.2.30-1) ...
Checking available versions of x-window-manager, updating links in
/etc/alternatives ...
(You may modify the symlinks there yourself if desired - see `man ln'.)

Debian uses update-alternatives to change alternatives, shouldn't the
install hint using 'update-alternatives --config x-window-manager'?

Peter Palm

When running siege, it just segfaults.

Does it segfault always at the same moment? Could you, please, give
more details about your machine, config, command line parameters etc.

Sure,

I use no commandline arguments, my config files are attached.

My machine is a pentium 4, I'm running debian sid, just updated it.

The package used to work, I just don't know exactly when it broke.

ANd yes, it always segfaults at the same moment.
