Got bitten by this very same bug, same version, same behaviour, same
workaround: removing the "rotate" option.
In my case exim4 was unable to deliver outgoing emails because of its
inability to resolve the domain part of the address.
I can't test the patch, but anyone with IPv6 on its dev machine

I could add information using the 3.13-1-686-pae kernel (on an eeepc 701).
In such case, the ftdi_sio module should be loaded first and then configured as:

Then the OOPS arise... but the system does not hang (much better):
