I currently don't have enough time to maintain the gthumb package in Debian.
If anyone feels like taking up the package, they are very welcome to do so.
The package description is:

Hi
Thanks for the bug report. I tried to reproduce it using the latest
version of the gthumb package, 3:2.10.5-1, and to me it seems that the
issue has been resolved.
Could you please verify this, before I close the bug?
Thanks!

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.2.0-6
Followup-For: Bug #422870
On my system I have exactly the same problem.
Also, after manually installing an extension using the unopkg tool, the
extension does show up in the menu, it seems that it cannot be used (I guess
that it tries to open a window).
Package: gthumb
Followup-For: Bug #404643
The dangling symlink issue does not occur in the latest version of gthumb,
3:2.10.0-1.
Thanks

Hello,
libexif10 was removed from sid but your package depends on it and
now its not installable anymore.
libexif12 is now in sid. A rebuild with the latest libexif-dev (0.6.12-2)
