Bug#994702: ipfm: Missing working homepage link
Hi, as the main author of ipfm, i can give following information: - there is no homepage for ipfm anymore - ipfm has not been developed for about 20 years and I do not plan to change something at this I can't retain to share my memories... We developed ipfm in order to get statistics about the Internet Usage of our student campus which was attached to Renater and The Internet through the Ecole Centrale Paris. This was a 45 Mbit/s link and every student had is own, public IP-Address on his PC in his room. We managed the whole Campus Network and IT within the student assiociation VIA Centale Reseaux an played with LAN Emulation (ATM), 3com and of course developed VideoLAN. This was a really great time! Today, one would use netflow and a netflow collector in order to produce these stats and much more. The time may have come to remove ipfm from debian. The decision is by sam, he is the maintainer of the package. Or is someone still using ipfm out there? Popcon says 13 votes. Cheers, tibob On 19.09.21 18:27, Petter Reinholdtsen wrote: Package: ipfm Version: 0.11.4-4.2 The package lack homepage information in d/control, and the homepage link in d/copyright do no longer work. Where is its current upstream? Note, the package could use a maintainer upload to refresh its packaging and acknoledge the last two NMUs.
Bug#982935: Drop-Down Menus are still broken
Update: My nginx-configuration had a link to /var/lib/mailman3/web/static. Changing it to /usr/share/python3-django-postorius/static/ solved the problem: location /mailman3/static { # alias /var/lib/mailman3/web/static; alias /usr/share/python3-django-postorius/static/; } The /var/lib/mailman3/web/static has an old bootstrap.min.js stored under /var/lib/mailman3/web/static/postorius/libs/bootstrap/js. This file seems to belong to nobody: # dpkg -S /var/lib/mailman3/web/static/postorius/ dpkg-query: no path found matching pattern /var/lib/mailman3/web/static/postorius/ # dpkg -S /var/lib/mailman3/web/static mailman3-web: /var/lib/mailman3/web/static # dpkg -S /usr/share/python3-django-postorius python3-django-postorius: /usr/share/python3-django-postorius I suspect the file was installed at the time I ran Debian stable, as first installed mailman3 under stable and migrated to testing after it. I installed mailman3-web on a fresh Debian testing, but the alias in nginx.conf ist still /var/lib/mailman3/web/static. In the fresh install, the bootstrap.min.js under /var/lib/mailman3/web/static/postorius/libs/bootstrap/js is now bootstrap 4. I don't understand why there are two installations in parallel, shouldn't everything be installed within the Package python3-django-postorius? Cheers, Robert
