In the interim is there any known work-around for this?
It's a bit of a jip because my / file system initially mounts as read only.
I guess I'll just roll udev back to the previous version and rebuild
the kernel against that then unless anyone has any other advice?

I can't install nvidia-glx as that is looking for 180.44 kernel modules
This seems bizarre as the package nvidia-kernel-2.6.26-2-amd64
provides 173.xx modules and not 180.44 modules!

Tremulous is shipped under the

suggest this purely because the closed-source driver has changed
massively in the last 24 months and I suspect the issue might be

I notice that when setting openAL in Warsow that the in-game console
reports that it could not be initialised.

Upstream KDE bug 169516 could probably also do with closing to be tidy.

Just for your info, I think the reason that the kwalletmanager stays
open is because Krusader doesn't appear to close the wallet it has
opened when Krusader exits.
I could be wrong but I think that's the way of it.
