Bug#904458: libwandio1: libwandio 4 is available upstream

2018-07-24 Thread Stéphane Bortzmeyer
Package: libwandio1
Version: 3.0.21-1+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Upstream is now at version 4 (now separated from libtrace) and it
would be cool to have it.

Please build it with 'configure --with-http' as some programs (like
bgpstream ) require it.

Bug#874454: samba: smbd crashes at startup with core dump (but works if launched after)

2017-09-06 Thread Stéphane Bortzmeyer
Package: samba
Version: 2:4.5.8+dfsg-2+deb9u1+b1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Samba is enabled but smbd crashes at startup. I receive this email:

The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action,
was called for PID 804 (/usr/sbin/smbd).

This means there was a problem with the program, such as a segfault.
Below is a backtrace for this process generated with gdb, which shows
the state of the program at the time the error occurred. The Samba log
files may contain additional information about the problem.

If the problem persists, you are encouraged to first install the
samba-dbg package, which contains the debugging symbols for the Samba
binaries. Then submit the provided information as a bug report to
Debian. For information about the procedure for submitting bug reports,
please see http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting or the reportbug(1)
manual page.
