Bug#745117: qbittorrent: Broken downloads though it passes integrity check.
Package: qbittorrent Version: 3.1.8-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I hve noticed a bit broken downloads: for example, movies are scrathed a bit (image and sound), though the downloads pass the integrity checks. I suppose it should not to be: the downloads should be whole OR the tests should fail. I believe the culprit of the breaking is suspending of the machine while the program is downloading -- still besides the program should handle this by some mechanism, the integrity should fail and the breakage should be corrected. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (700, 'testing-updates'), (700, 'testing'), (600, 'stable-updates'), (600, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages qbittorrent depends on: ii geoip-database 20140409-1 ii libboost-system1.54.0 1.54.0-5 ii libc6 2.18-4 ii libgcc11:4.8.2-16 ii libqt4-dbus4:4.8.5+git242-g0315971+dfsg-2 ii libqt4-network 4:4.8.5+git242-g0315971+dfsg-2 ii libqt4-xml 4:4.8.5+git242-g0315971+dfsg-2 ii libqtcore4 4:4.8.5+git242-g0315971+dfsg-2 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.5+git242-g0315971+dfsg-2 ii libstdc++6 4.8.2-16 ii libtorrent-rasterbar7 0.16.13-1 ii python 2.7.5-5 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 qbittorrent recommends no packages. Bug#704056: boswars: Crashes on new game start.
Good time of the day, Steve. Thank You, Steve, for Your time and answer. You wrote: I think you might have an out-of-date copy of the wargrounds map. Wargrounds is one of the extra maps that are on www.boswars.org's downloads page, but aren't in Borwar's release (nor in the Debian packages). AFAICS the extra maps need to be put in /usr/share/games/boswars/maps/ , so it would be easy for an old map to be forgotten. I've tried to reproduce the bug, downloaded wargrounds today from Boswar's website, and it starts without crashing for me. There is no roads|bridges - that we see in prebuilt maps. .. Walls as units/trees would be great. .. Editor as well as the game lacks performance - that is it hangs for less than a second - when moving whole map. .. Bug#647421: boswars: Game slows down as more units appear.
Package: boswars Version: 2.6.1-2 Followup-For: Bug #647421 Dear Maintainer, I have plaied single and multi player games and can say that it slows down s more units number increases and returns back (w/o any latency) as its number decreases. So, latency increases starting from about 20% of game time spentd and grows until about 20% game time remain to its end - when latency almost disappears again. It is so for maps of size 256x256. Bug#675915: rtorrent: Does not proceed w/ slow torrents on resume (after suspend).
Package: rtorrent Version: 0.9.2-1 Followup-For: Bug #675915 Dear Maintainer, You did ask me if there were peers on the slow torrents or I even would like stopped torrents - not that I did stop it, but it does not download. - So I can asuredly tell You now that, There is no peers and torrents are not downloaded. When I ^q and run rtorrent again - magic happens - the torrent starts quickly downloading, and there is a bunch of peers (up to 9 on this particular example). So, it is evident that rtorrent does not look earnestly for other peers while downloading and has no goal of keeping download speed as high as possible - for w/ a time speed falls down and peers number falls down too - until rtorrent is restarted - i.e. ^q and run again. Good time of the day, Nico. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: Ok misunderstanding, I understood you need to click on another logout button of openbox. OK. Is it clear now?! Or additional explanation needed? - Or it is Your strategy - to deny bugs found? :o/ Is it your strategy to piss me off? No. Just a try to make my message clear for You. Anyway, I don't know what setup you have exactly. I just tested a plain openbox 3.5.0 from upstream as well as openbox from Debian again and the exit menu works just fine. You may want to change the menu entry to do something like lxsession-logout or execute a command to kill your lxde session. I also use version, and for users on the same host is does not work. Can You shed some light on how You change the commands that are run from that menu? There is no openbox bug here as far as I can judge, thus closing the bug report. Hmm. What if I the commands are set already? May I will check it first - after You tell me how? Thank You for Your work for Debian/me. Package: rtorrent Version: 0.9.2-1 Followup-For: Bug #675915 Dear Maintainer, I just have tested w/ one torrent that had speed of downloading - 1 KB/s. - After pressing Ctrl-D, Ctrl-S , speed grew immediately to 107 KB/s. I think it is related to previous bug - that is rtorrent ahs greatter download speed - when torrrents are reset manually. In tracker list I see three records (0-2). There is single peer. The slow speed for unknown period - I believe it was about 1 hour. Bug#675915: rtorrent: Does not proceed w/ slow torrents on resume (after suspend).
Good time of the day, Benoît. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: What do you mean by slow torrent? Do some torrents resume downloading properly (without the need for ^K ^S)? Does rtorrent connect to a tracker successfully on those torrents? Are there peers listed on the slow torrents? How long do you wait before hitting ^K ^S? Is your network responsive on the host right after resume? I mean they are downloaded at 2-10 KB/s speed. The problem is that they do not start downloading on resume standing for 30 minutes at least. When I do ^K^S - they start. I do not know about tracker connection - as I have no those torrents now. - Same for slow torrents list. Network works after resume - never was a problem. Could you also try with 0.9.2-1? I do use it now but having no those torrents I can not say anything about it now. Bug#668771: openarena: Does not restore desktop screen resolution on quit.
Good time of the day, Simon. Thank You for Your time, work and answer. You wrote among other: It might not help that SDL 1.2.15 turned off XRandR support upstream because it causes desktop reconfiguring[1], and in any case libsdl1.2 doesn't seem to be built against libxrandr-dev (so turning it on via SDL_VIDEO_X11_XRANDR=1 won't have any effect). I didn't have any more success in a dual-monitor setup with libsdl1.2 rebuilt and XRandR enabled, though. What I did for a work around - was to run openarena from terminal window w/ xrandr command at its endunited w/ - that caught the broken resolution and returned it to previous one. So, unless we are speaking about different things/realization - I think that xrandr capable of restoring resolution on multi-head. May, You will call for the command directly from Arena code - as a work around until the time that the stated function will be rewritten/corrected to fix the problem. I'll work around this for new openarena installations by changing the default in ioquake3 to run in a window. I do not think You should do this because it will not solve the problem (read farther) and I suppose few people prefer that mode of playing. Sthu: if you configure your OpenArena to run in a window (Setup - System - Graphics - Fullscreen), it should stop breaking your video mode after that. You can also select a higher resolution in the same menu. As You have guessed right, it will bring performance to be exceedingly low. :) Therefore, not acceptable. As I said before, I have a work around for me, therefore no problem to wait for a long time before the issue will be fixed in some future. Thanks, for Your work, again! Good time of the day, Simon. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: OpenArena does not restore desktop screen resolution when normaly quits. It works for me (800x600 fullscreen, on a laptop that's natively 1280x800), so there must be something different in your configuration that's triggering this. I have a dual setup - a laptop w/ external monitor connected. Since you've reported crashes on another bug, I wonder whether it's crashing on exit and failing to restore the screen size. Please No. It normally exits. Just does not restore the resolution. Please do not mix up bugs. In this bug report I'm speaking about the resolution restoration failure only. provide a log (and, if it's crashing, a backtrace), by installing the openarena-dbg, ioquake3-dbg and gdb packages, then running this in a terminal: OPENARENA_BACKTRACE=1 openarena 21 | tee openarena.txt This will output information about the crash (if any) to your terminal, and save a copy in openarena.txt. Of course it does not crash here. If it doesn't appear to be crashing, please start OpenArena with that command and open the in-game console (press Shift+Escape). In the in-game console, type \set r_ (without the quotes) and press Tab: this will display a list of renderer settings, which will also be logged to the terminal and openarena.txt. Then close the console with Shift+Escape and quit the game. I'm particularly interested in the r_fullscreen, r_uiFullScreen, r_customwidth, r_customheight and r_mode settings. Alright, here it is (complete, in case the interested parameters will lead to questions about other parameters values): Opening IP6 socket: [::]:27960 Opening IP socket: 0.0.0.0:27960 WARNING: NET_IPSocket: bind: Address already in use Opening IP socket: 0.0.0.0:27961 ]\set r_ r_availableModes = 1280x720 1600x900 848x480 12 ... x768 640x480 800x600 1024x768 r_sdlDriver = x11 r_allowSoftwareGL = 0 r_maxpolyverts = 3000 r_maxpolys = 600 r_noportals = 0 r_lockpvs = 0 r_drawBuffer = GL_BACK r_offsetunits = -2 r_offsetfactor = -1 r_clear = 0 r_shownormals = 0 r_showsky = 0 r_showtris = 0 r_nobind = 0 r_debugSurface = 0 r_logFile = 0 r_verbose = 0 r_speeds = 0 r_showcluster = 0 r_novis = 0 r_nocull = 0 r_ignore = 1 r_drawentities = 1 r_norefresh = 0 r_lodscale = 5 r_measureOverdraw = 0 r_skipBackEnd = 0 r_showSmp = 0 r_flareCoeff = 150 r_flareFade = 7 r_flareSize = 40 r_portalOnly = 0 r_lightmap = 0 r_drawworld = 1 r_nocurves = 0 r_saveFontData = 0 r_printShaders = 0 r_debugSort = 0 r_debuglight = 0 r_showImages = 0 r_directedScale = 1 r_ambientScale = 0.6 r_znear = 4 r_singleShader = 0 r_mapOverBrightBits = 2 r_fullbright = 0 r_colorMipLevels = 0 r_uiFullScreen = 1 r_inGameVideo = 1 r_allowExtensions = 1 r_ext_compressed_textures = 0 r_ext_multitexture = 1 r_ext_compiled_vertex_array = 1 r_ext_texture_env_add = 1 r_ext_texture_filter_anisotropic = 0 r_ext_max_anisotropy = 2 r_picmip = 3 r_roundImagesDown = 1 r_detailtextures = 1 r_texturebits = 0 r_colorbits = 0 r_stencilbits = 0 r_depthbits = 0 r_ext_multisample = 0 r_overBrightBits = 1 r_ignorehwgamma = 0 r_mode = 3 r_fullscreen = 1 r_noborder = 0 r_customwidth = 1600 r_customheight = 1024 r_customPixelAspect = 1 r_simpleMipMaps = 1 r_subdivisions = 4 r_smp = 0 r_stereoEnabled = 0 r_ignoreFastPath = 1 r_greyscale = 0 r_lodCurveError = 250 r_lodbias = 0 r_flares = 0 r_zproj = 64 r_stereoSeparation = 64 r_ignoreGLErrors = 1 r_fastsky = 0 r_drawSun = 0 r_dynamiclight = 1 r_dlightBacks = 1 r_finish = 0 r_textureMode = GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_NEAREST r_swapInterval = 0 r_gamma = 2.075000 r_facePlaneCull = 1 r_railWidth = 16 r_railCoreWidth = 6 r_railSegmentLength = 32 r_primitives = 0 r_anaglyphMode = 0 r_marksOnTriangleMeshes = 0 r_aviMotionJpegQuality = 90 r_screenshotJpegQuality = 90 r_allowResize = 0 r_centerWindow = 0 r_intensity = 1 r_vertexLight = 0 - Client Shutdown (Client quit) - RE_Shutdown( 1 ) Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok OpenAL capture device closed. --- [Thread 0x7fffe1de0700 (LWP 6709) exited] [Inferior 1 (process 6704) exited normally] The program is not being run. Bug#669659: claws-mail: Couldn't get recipient encryption key.
Good time of the day, Ricardo. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: tags 669659 moreinfo thanks Hi Sthu, Looks like you have checked the option to sign/encrypt responses but don't have the public key of the recipient in your keyring. So, either you disable such option on Claws Mail (forever: on Account preferences, Privacy branch, or just for that recipient: on Compose window's Options menu) or you get the public key of that recipient (manually: with gpg --recv-keys or automatically: configuring gpg to auto retrieve keys from a key server, see man gpg and your ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf file for details). regards, It did the trick. I'm sorry for the noise and waste of Your time. Please, close the bug report. Sthu. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#668962: tetzle: Several suggestions for pieces manipulations.
Package: tetzle Version: 2.0.0-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, Developer, I have several suggestions for pieces manipulations that I suppose will make playing more comfortable: .. rotations clockwise and opposite should be made w/ right and left mouse butons one button for each direction; .. holding of a piece should be done by pressing mouse button on the piece and holding the button until - unholded when the button released; .. when pieces are selected, it should fill visible free space - as much as possible: for example, as the window of the game has rectangle form - it is wide to fill that form space - for example, corners - rather than making peaks on the top, bottom, left, right sides. - Then while zooming in more pieces will be visible at the same time; .. more pixels should be active when pieces are put together - so that it will be more comfortable to put them - instead of precisely putting one w/ another - w/o a single pixel space between two pieces - it leads to unnecesary eyes overload especially on photo pictures w/ little contrast areas - like sky. Thank You for the wonderful game. Bug#664259: qbittorrent: Fails to run.
Good time of the day, Cristian. You worte: crego, this hardly seems like a solution. qBittorrent v2.9.3 from Debian Testing is currently unusable and needs to be recompiled. libtorrent v0.15.10 broke ABI compatibility unfortunately. Asking users to install qBittorrent from Debian Unstable does not seem like a proper solution. BTW, several other users reported the same issue on Debian Testing. Hi Chris, as explained above, there is no abi breakage in libtorrent, the problem is just due to mismatching boost dependencies: libtorrent 0.15.10 got compiled against boost 1.48, while qbittorrent 2.9.3 was still using boost 1.46. This was probably caused by the interrupted transition of boost-defaults (pointing to 1.48) to testing. I did not suggest the user to install qbittorrent from unstable: I wrongly supposed that Sthu is already using unstable (how would you explain the installation of libtorrent 0.15.10?). Well, i do not have unstable in my sources : $ apt-cache policy libtorrent-rasterbar6 libtorrent-rasterbar6: Installed: 0.15.10-1 Candidate: 0.15.10-1 Version table: *** 0.15.10-1 0 990 http://http://ftp2.jp.debian.org/debian/ wheezy/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Sthu. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#664259: qbittorrent: Fails to run.
Good time of the day, Christophe. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: This is a typical issue when qBittorrent was compiled against a different version of libtorrent-rasterbar than the one installed. Either you installed qBittorrent from one repo and libtorrent-rasterbar from another. Or, someone updated libtorrent-rasterbar in the repository and forgot to trigger a rebuild of the qBittorrent package. And that's what I have thought - having reviewed the last update - it is from the same repo. Hope, the maintainer soon will correct his/her mistake. - Until then it is absolutely unusable (unrunnable). Bug#662975: debian-reference-en: Add to 9.4.1 a fstab record including UUID.
Package: debian-reference-en Version: 2.47 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, I think it is wise to put a note in the subject paragraph on how the volume can be mounted: .. manually .. automatically through the /etc/fstab regarding UUID I had problems putting in the file wrong UUID - of the /dev/sda1 whereas I had to put there the one of /dev/mapper/sda1. Bug#611337: rtorrent: Crashes on ready torrents removal, randomly.
Good time of the day, Benoît. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: Randomly rtorrent: DownloadList::confirm_finished(...) download-resume_flags() != ~uint32_t(). Package: rtorrent randomly, - I believe on ready torrents removal with ^d ^d. I can't reproduce this issue on rtorrent/0.8.9-2; can you try that version and see if it also fails for you (it's in wheezy)? I do not use it much now-days, but use still. For now (in wheezy) it did not crash as yet. If it ever will - I'll make it known. How long have you been running 0.8.9 without a crash? (Trying to figure out if I can close this bug or if you just started testing it.) Few days - just have started testing - not sure if it will appear - as it is not heavy loaded and to load it more - I just can not this time. So, You can wait for a while w/ this bug report OR close it and I will ever start a new one. Sthu. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#661918: privoxy: Extremely slow
Good time of the day, Roland. Thank You for Your time and answer. You worte: Package: privoxy Version: 3.0.19-1 Severity: normal Privoxy works extremely slow - almost any pages areopened after 4-8 seconds period - even having started w/ empty config files/dir. Please fix it. That's hard without more input. On my systems privoxy runs without problems and fast. So we have to find out what's different with your system and what causes the delay. Does everything work fast without a proxy? Yes, as usual. Maybe you have some kind of DNS or IPv6 Problem? Well. I believe I do not - as I use very same environment for both connections - w/ privoxy and w/o. Connections are so slow that I often get message Connection timeout. Could you switch on logging (at least debug 1) and check, whether there are unusual requests that may delay the wanted requests? OK. I have done so, but my log dir. is empty still. Meanwhile I have found the culprit - it is TOR. - I did not thinkg about it - because I did empty the config. dir of privoxy, restarted it, but it still opened slowly web pages. But trying w/ config.s and turned off TOR forwarding - did the trick. So, pardon for the noise. And thanks for Your work! Bug#661814: qbittorrent: Fails to finish some downloads.
Good time of the day, Christophe. Thank You for Your time and answer: Please reassign to libtorrent-rasterbar, this is obviously not related to qBittorrent itself. Hmm. I have no such a package installed. It would also be useful to have more information regarding where the torrents are stuck. Are they stuck at 99.9% and just won't go to 100%? Or do they get stuck earlier? Well. Any progress. Are you connected to full sources (aka seeds)? How many? How many seeds does the tracker report (value in parenthesis in qBittorrent transfer list)? I have not full sources, tracker reports 1-2. Sthu. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
