Hi, I've reviewed the proposed patch, and I think it should be applied as soon as possible. It seems Laura was waiting for a final review before applying this patch (long overdue!), which IMHO would bring much more clarity to the image verification process (usually, a big struggle to new users).

Hi, I still found this bug with the installer shipped in Bookworm. I'm using the image debian-live-12.2.0-amd64-gnome.iso, and I also had a LVM-Thin Physical Volume previously created by a Proxmox-VE installer ISO, which could not be removed by the Debian Installer. Thanks for working on that!
