They are not missing after all, they are playing hide and seek. I found those
menus after clicking here and there at random!! They were hidden in that little
gtranslator menu which comes out of nowhere and,

This bug appeared with version 2.91.4-1 of gtranslator on a fresh install of
Wheezy beta-3: no Help entry in the menu bar and no Preferences entry in the
