Bug#736745: network-manager-gnome: Too many dependencies

2014-01-26 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: network-manager-gnome
Severity: normal

Hi!
Why does the package network-manager-gnome depend on so many
packages? Installing it under XFCE would install such many Gnome
packages, even nautilus.

Bug#727164: sflphone-kde: Ringtone does not stop

2013-11-10 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: sflphone-kde
Version: 1.2.3-2
Followup-For: Bug #727164

I suggest to package the git version. The bug is fixed there.
There are also other advantages. For example a proper
pulseaudio support. I built the git version and it makes
sflphone usable again.

Bug#707098: liferea: Does not stop updating TTRSS source

2013-05-07 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: liferea
Version: 1.10~rc1-1~exp1
Severity: important

Hi!
The 1.10rc1 and also the stable 1.8.12 version of liferea does not stop
updating
a Tiny Tiny RSS source. Until liferea is running, it causes a huge load and
traffic on
the TTRSS server, which makes it unusable with TTRSS.

Here I found a patch that seem to fix the problem (for me):
http://sourceforge.net/p/liferea/bugs/1038/

I tested thunar without this plugin for several weeks. No more right-
click-crash appeared after removing it.

Bug#682280: sync-ui does not remember the default service

2012-10-14 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: sync-ui
Version: 1.2.99.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #682280

Why not upgrading to 1.3.1, as the bug should be fixed there?
The bug is ugly and makes most of the application useless.
This should not be in a stable Debian version.

Bug#658709: libxine2: Unable to watch DVB

2012-02-05 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: libxine2
Version: 1.2.0-5
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,
With xinelib1.2 I am unable to watch DVB.
Using a DVB-T Stick and clicking DVB in xine-ui
brings Buffering to 100%, but then it stops.
The control light of my DVB-T stick is on.
The Hardware runs, watching for example in
VLC works. No related console output is visible,
just this:
input_dvb: continuing in get_instance

That's correct. Please describe why you need an icon, so that I can see
the actual nature of your bug report.

An icon might be useful when placing sync-ui in the quicklaunch

Are you sure you just mean an icon, and not a desktop file? The latter
includes information how the program is started, a (translated)
 description and an icon location.

The desktop file is present and an icon is specified there.
icon=sync
But there is no icon with that name. I copied the icon from
a previous version as workaround.

Now it starts to get interesting. What previous version do you use
where the icon exists? What is the exact pathname of the old icon? I
see that the version in squeeze contains a file
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/sync.png. It would be nice to know
 when it got lost.

 Regards,

I meant the version used in squeeze. And exactly the file you said
is missing in wheezy.

Bug#658543: evolution on armel without gles

2012-02-03 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: evolution
Version: 3.2.2-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
When using evolution standalone without gnome, for example within xfce on an
armel device without gles (no drivers available), evolution fails to start and
gives a segfault caused by libcogl. Maybe you should build a package
'evolution-noclutter' to provide evolution for non-gles armel / armhf devices.
Maybe the one or other unnecessary gnome dependency can be dropped.

must be replaced by
/usr/lib//usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabi/Thunar/thunar-sendto-email

Bug#599247: Syncing with horde3 - always only slow-sync possible

solved.

 Which branch did you use?

Lukas has pushed several changes to his luz branch which are not yet
used in the libsynthesis bundled with SyncEvolution. I decided against
switching to the very latest version because that version introduced a
backwards-incompatible change of on-disk files. Once you upgrade, you
cannot go back. I wanted to combine that change with another such change
in SyncEvolution itself, probably in 1.2 or 1.3.

If you can pin the solution to a specific change in libsynthesis, then I
would back-port it to the version of libsynthesis in SyncEvolution
1.1.x. I looked through the changes, but saw nothing relevant.

sounds like a problem with symlinks in binary_local-includes. are you
using that? if so, it's a local problem and you should fix your includes
 i guess.

if not, then please give all required information as outlined in

The download-manager of epiphany does not show the progress of the

Bug#588882: linux-image-2.6: Enabling FB-I810-GTF and FB-I810-I2C

2010-07-12 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: linux-image-2.6
Severity: wishlist

Hi!
Is it possible to enable FB_I810_GTF and FB_I810_I2C
in the default kernel of Squeeze (686)?
These options are needed to run Debian on the Samsung SMT-7020S,
and switch the resolution of the FS454 chip used in the device via
the I2C-Bus. Otherwise the bus is not accessible.

Bug#577106: linux-image-2.6.32-3-686: Enable FB_I810_GTF and FB_I810_I2C by default for Samsung SMT-7020S

2010-04-09 Thread Thomas Maass
Package: linux-image-2.6.32-3-686
Severity: normal

Hi! Is it possible to enable FB_I810_GTF and FB_I810_I2C in the default kernel?
This is necessary to use it on the Samsung SMT-7020S settop-box. So it would be
possible to write the I2C-Bus to set the resolution of its TV-out chip.
