To make the mouse/keyb work you can simply switch them off at the

I Just solved this an probably some other bugs like 633851:
gsettings is not found on the system because the file
/etc/desktop-profiles/desktop-profiles.listing
contains a very small mismatch.
This line has to be modified:
default-xdg_data_dirs;XDG_DATA;/usr/local/share:/usr
someone who can not wait, I propose to switch to nouveau
packages. Only a little work to do and completely open source.

Hi,
I just checked it in my system with ETCH on it, switching on the APM function
is now functional and doesn't hang the machine any more.
In my opinion you can close the bug.

after uninstallation of old mozilla packages I deleted also all old ~/.mozilla
dirs. Sorry, but I wanted to have my machine working with mozilla/iceape.
Last suggestion: Maybe the filepermissions are not correct in this hidden dir.
Would you please let me know the correct permissions?
