Bug#557832: lyx: When deleting (w/backspace) the last line, the cursor jumps too high
Package: lyx Version: 1.6.4-1 Severity: normal How to reproduce: - Create a new document. - Fill it with fill text, so that the LyX text window is full. - Go to the end of the last line. - Start backspacing characters. At one point during the backspacing the rest of the last line will be folded into the preceeding line. The space of the last line disappears. However, the cursor is placed not at the end of the now new last line, but at the begin of the last-but-one line --- the next backspace deletes a character from the last-but-two line! e.g. If this is the LyX entry window, showing the end of the text, and the window is full and has more lines above the top, with '' representing the cursor: +-+ | na, oa sanga fassë rimpë rac. | | Pendë cenvéla mittanya sú oio, | | ma lir venë rimpë, sí liéva | | hísië onóro ata. Bug#341452: lvm2: v2.02.00-1: breaks VGs: device-mapper ioctl cmd 9 failed: Invalid argument
Package: lvm2 Version: 2.02.00-1 Severity: critical Justification: breaks the whole system Problem description: --- After upgrading to lvm2 2.02.00-1 and the required libdevmapper1.02, the system was unable to complete booting, as no LVs were reachable: the system was unusable and could not be used to fix itself. (The metadata is in lvm2 format.) vgscan worked OK. vgchange -a y was broken, spewing lots of: device-mapper: one of name or uuid must be supplied, cmd(9) device-mapper ioctl cmd 9 failed: Invalid argument and finally claiming 18 logical volume(s) in volume group base_vg now active However, they were not accessible and the boot process was unable to finish. vgchange -a n also failed: device-mapper: one of name or uuid must be supplied, cmd(11) device-mapper ioctl cmd 11 failed: Invalid argument _deps: task run failed for (254:0) Failed to add device (254:0) to dtree device-mapper: one of name or uuid must be supplied, cmd(11) device-mapper ioctl cmd 11 failed: Invalid argument _deps: task run failed for (254:1) Failed to add device (254:1) to dtree ... dmsetup ls was OK. dmsetup table showed only: base_vg-usr: base_vg-var: ... i.e. the names were known, but the tables were missing. Solution: After downgrading to lvm2 2.01.14-3 (and thus libdevmapper1.02) the system worked again. To archive this, a rescue system was needed, as /usr/ (apt-get) and /var/ (apt/sources.list) etc. were all unreachable. Note: I am not 100% sure if it is libdevmapper1.02 or lvm2, however, lvm2 Version 2.01.14-3 works with: rm /lib/libdevmapper.so.1.01 ln -s /lib/libdevmapper.so.1.02 /lib/libdevmapper.so.1.01 Thus the problem probably is within lvm2 v2.02.00-1. In fact it's too late for any my_hdr. Hmmm. Let me see ... - At the time send2-hook is triggered, the sender is fixed, no way (except edit-from) to change it. Ok. - The manual (via F1) says: | send2-hook is matched every time a message is changed, either by | editing it, or by using the compose menu to change its recipients or | subject. send2-hook is executed after send-hook, and can, e.g., be | used to set parameters such as the ``$sendmail'' variable depending on | the message's sender address. which seems true, according to my observation. That looks like the manual schould mention edit-from: However, you cannot set From: with send2-hook except using 'send2-hook . push edit-fromkill-line[EMAIL PROTECTED]Enter', since send2-hook runs too late for any other method. Otherwise a reader might get the impression that the main difference between send2-hook (is matched every time a message is changed) and send-hook ([is] only executed ONCE after getting the initial list of recipients) is how often it's executed. That at least was my motivation for using send2-hook: have From automatically updated if I change recipients. - Yet something *does* happen, for on the next try (recipient2) send2-hook *does* set the recipient. Even though that is a completely new mail, the old one being aborted. Is that really the correct behaviour? To me it looks like data leaking from one mail to another ... The only way a send2-hook has to change the sender is via pushing edit-from: | send2-hook . push edit-fromkill-line[EMAIL PROTECTED]Enter The advantage in return is that a send2-hook pattern can depend on the sender. Depend on the sender to be what Unchanged by my_hdr From: directives, as put into the mail header by the writer, as more-or-less immutable, even if you should run extensive commands in send2-hook? Or select it now and observe the filesize not grow and no EXIF data being saved ... -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.28-lvm Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages gimp depends on: ii aalib1 1.4p5-22ascii art library ii gimp-data2.2.6-1 Data files for The GIMP ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-0 1.8.0-4 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc62.3.2.ds1-21GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libexif100.6.9-6 library to parse EXIF files ii libexpat11.95.8-3XML parsing C library - runtime li ii libfontconfig1 2.3.2-1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.1.7-2.4 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgimp2.0 2.2.6-1 Libraries necessary to run the GIM ii libgimpprint14.2.7-10The Gimp-Print printer driver libr ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.4-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg626b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii liblcms1 1.13-1 Color management library ii libmng1 1.0.8-1 Multiple-image Network Graphics li ii libpango1.0-01.8.1-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 X Window System Session Management ii libtiff4 3.7.2-2 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii libwmf0.2-7 0.2.8.3-2 Windows metafile conversion librar ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 X Window System protocol client li ii libxmu6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 X Window System miscellaneous util ii libxpm4 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 X pixmap library ii libxt6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 X Toolkit Intrinsics ii wget 1.9.1-10retrieves files from the web ii xlibs4.3.0.dfsg.1-12 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#302099: rdiff-backup: New version 0.13.6 contains a *** Serious bug fix ****, please update
Package: rdiff-backup Version: 0.13.4-5 Followup-For: Bug #302099 Changelog says (amongst others): | ** Serious bug fix ** | If a directory in the source directory was replaced by certain | symlinks, then if later backups failed they could cause files in the | directory that the symlink pointed to to be deleted! Much thanks to | Alistair Popple for pointing this bug out and providing a test case. This should warrant an update as data loss looms, shouldn't it? -Wolfgang -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
