Bug#846518: network-manager: sometimes the system freezes, while debian start unless I turnoff the wireless device ath5k

I tried with

Package: wicd
Version: 1.7.4+tb2-2

Now I use WICD I can see that it detects the wireless networks, but
when I try to connect, the system freezes again.

I think that maybe the problem is in Atheros firmware,

It's just a guess
