Bug#523578: [xserver-xorg-video-intel] UXA crashes Xorg when logging out of KDE
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.6.3-1 Severity: important With UXA enabled, I'm having problems when logging out of KDE (I haven't tried this with GNOME/XFCE + GDM). If I'm lucky, it drops me down to a console, and I can just restart X and KDE again. But more often, it crashes the X Server, and gives me a blank screen that I can only get out of using the power button or RSEIUB. I don't experience this problem when using EXA. I'm using a ThinkPad SL400 with an X4500MHD graphics chip. Here's the last part of my Xorg log from when I tried to log out of KDE: (EE) Logitech Optical USB Mouse: Read error: Resource temporarily unavailable (II) AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Close (II) UnloadModule: evdev (II) Video Bus: Close (II) UnloadModule: evdev (II) Macintosh mouse button emulation: Close (II) UnloadModule: evdev (II) TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint: Close (II) UnloadModule: evdev (II) Logitech Optical USB Mouse: Close (II) UnloadModule: evdev (II) UnloadModule: synaptics (II) Open ACPI successful (/var/run/acpid.socket) (II) APM registered successfully (II) intel(0): Kernel reported 1264128 total, 1 used (II) intel(0): I830CheckAvailableMemory: 5056508 kB available drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 13, (OK) drmOpenByBusid: Searching for BusID pci::00:02.0 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 13, (OK) drmOpenByBusid: drmOpenMinor returns 13 drmOpenByBusid: drmGetBusid reports pci::00:02.0 (II) intel(0): [DRI2] Setup complete (**) intel(0): Framebuffer compression enabled (**) intel(0): Tiling enabled (EE) intel(0): Failed to initialize kernel memory manager Here's my xorg.conf: Section ServerLayout Identifier Xorg Configured Screen Screen 0 EndSection Section ServerFlags Option AllowMouseOpenFail true Option DontZap Off EndSection Section Device Identifier Device 0 Driver intel BoardName Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller BusID PCI:0:2:0 Option AccelMethoduxa EndSection Section Monitor Identifier Monitor 0 ModelName Default Monitor HorizSync 28-96 VertRefresh 50-75 Modeline 640x350 25.02 640 656 720 800 350 351 354 368 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 640x400 29.20 640 664 728 816 400 401 404 421 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 640x480 23.86 640 656 720 800 480 481 484 497 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 640x480 29.43 640 664 728 816 480 481 484 501 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 640x480 30.72 640 664 728 816 480 481 484 502 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 640x480 35.71 640 672 736 832 480 481 484 505 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 640x480 43.16 640 680 744 848 480 481 484 509 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 720x400 32.64 720 744 816 912 400 401 404 421 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 768x576 34.96 768 792 872 976 576 577 580 597 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 768x576 42.93 768 800 880 992 576 577 580 601 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 768x576 45.51 768 808 888 1008 576 577 580 602 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 768x576 51.84 768 808 888 1008 576 577 580 605 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 768x576 62.57 768 816 896 1024 576 577 580 611 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 800x600 35.55 800 832 912 1024 600 601 604 620 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 800x600 38.22 800 832 912 1024 600 601 604 622 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 800x600 46.87 800 840 920 1040 600 601 604 626 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 800x600 48.91 800 840 920 1040 600 601 604 627 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 800x600 56.55 800 840 928 1056 600 601 604 630 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 800x600 68.18 800 848 936 1072 600 601 604 636 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1024x600 48.96 1024 1064 1168 1312 600 601 604 622 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1024x768 64.11 1024 1080 1184 1344 768 769 772 795 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1024x768 76.16 1024 1080 1192 1360 768 769 772 800 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1024x768 81.80 1024 1080 1192 1360 768 769 772 802 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1024x768 94.39 1024 1088 1200 1376 768 769 772 807 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1024x768 113.31 1024 1096 1208 1392 768 769 772 814 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1152x864 104.99 1152 1224 1352 1552 864 865 868 902 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1152x864 81.62 1152 1216 1336 1520 864 865 868 895 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1152x864 119.65 1152 1224 1352 1552 864 865 868 907 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1152x864 143.47 1152 1232 1360 1568 864 865 868 915 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1152x900 112.45 1152 1224 1352 1552 900 901 904 941 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1152x900 94.79 1152 1224 1344 1536 900 901 904 935 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1280x768 80.14 1280 1344 1480 1680 768 769 772 795 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1280x800 83.46 1280 1344 1480 1680 800 801 804 828 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1280x960 102.10 1280 1360 1496 1712 960 961 964 994 -HSync +Vsync Modeline 1280x960 124.54 1280 1368 1504 1728 960 961 964
Bug#523228: [smplayer] Controls not visible during full-screen video playback in KDE4 with desktop effects enabled
Package: smplayer Version: 0.6.1-1 Severity: normal When SMPlayer is used for full-screen video playback in KDE4 with desktop effects enabled, the playback controls (Play, Start, etc.) do not become visible. Clicking the area where the controls should be still performs the appropriate actions, if you manage to click on the right area. Here's a part of the SMPlayer log, during which I opened a video, switched to full-screen mode, moved the mouse several times to the area where the controls should be, returned to window mode, and closed the application: [08:32:23] BaseGuiPlus::updateMediaInfo [08:32:23] BaseGui::updateMediaInfo [08:32:23] Core::updateWidgets [08:32:23] DefaultGui::updateWidgets [08:32:23] BaseGui::updateWidgets [08:32:23] BaseGui::displayState: Playing [08:32:23] mplayer reports that now it's playing [08:32:23] MplayerProcess::parseLine: 'ID_AUDIO_TRACK=0' [08:32:28] MplayerWindow::mouseReleaseEvent [08:32:28] BaseGui::leftClickFunction [08:32:29] BaseGui::doubleClickFunction [08:32:29] BaseGui::processFunction: 'fullscreen' [08:32:29] BaseGui::processFunction: action found [08:32:29] BaseGui::toggleFullscreen: 1 [08:32:29] BaseGui::toggleFullscreen: was_maximized: 0 [08:32:29] DefaultGui::aboutToEnterFullscreen [08:32:29] BaseGuiPlus::aboutToEnterFullscreen [08:32:29] DefaultGui::updateWidgets [08:32:29] BaseGui::updateWidgets [08:32:29] MplayerWindow::mouseReleaseEvent [08:32:29] BaseGui::leftClickFunction [08:32:30] DefaultGui::showFloatingControl [08:32:30] FloatingWidget::showOver [08:32:31] DefaultGui::hideFloatingControls [08:32:32] DefaultGui::showFloatingControl [08:32:32] FloatingWidget::showOver [08:32:33] DefaultGui::hideFloatingControls [08:32:33] MplayerWindow::mouseReleaseEvent [08:32:33] BaseGui::leftClickFunction [08:32:33] BaseGui::doubleClickFunction [08:32:33] BaseGui::processFunction: 'fullscreen' [08:32:33] BaseGui::processFunction: action found [08:32:33] BaseGui::toggleFullscreen: 0 [08:32:33] DefaultGui::aboutToExitFullscreen [08:32:33] BaseGuiPlus::aboutToExitFullscreen [08:32:33] DefaultGui::updateWidgets [08:32:33] BaseGui::updateWidgets [08:32:34] MplayerWindow::mouseReleaseEvent [08:32:34] BaseGui::leftClickFunction [08:32:36] Core::pause_and_frame_step [08:32:36] Core::tellmp: 'pause' [08:32:36] MplayerProcess::parseLine: '' [08:32:36] MplayerProcess::parseLine: ' = PAUSE =' [08:32:36] MplayerProcess::parseLine: 'ID_PAUSED' [08:32:36] Core::changePause [08:32:36] mplayer reports that it's paused [08:32:36] BaseGui::displayState: Paused [08:32:39] BaseGui::showLog --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1.slh.1-sidux-amd64 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 unstablewww.debian-multimedia.org 500 unstableftp.us.debian.org 500 unstabledebian.tu-bs.de 500 testing ftp.us.debian.org 1 experimentalftp.us.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =-+- libc6 (= 2.7-1) | 2.9-7 libgcc1 (= 1:4.1.1-21) | 1:4.3.3-5 libqt4-network (= 4.4.0) | 4.4.3-2 libqtcore4 (= 4.4.0) | 4.4.3-2 libqtgui4 (= 4.4.0) | 4.4.3-2 libstdc++6 (= 4.1.1-21) | 4.3.3-5 smplayer-translations (= 0.6.1-1) | 0.6.1-1 mplayer | OR mplayer-nogui | 1:1.0.rc2svn20090330-0.0 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
