Bug#1053965: libcairo2: Ugly Tahoma font rendering since version 1.17
Package: libcairo2 Version: 1.16.0-7 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: zbynek.mi...@gmail.com Hello, I have recently upgraded libcairo2 from 1.16.0 to 1.17.8 in my distro (Debian Trixie). Since that rendering of Tahoma font in Xfce is broken. Sample screenshots before and after the upgrade are attached. Bug#961834: Any updates?
Hello, is reported issue still valid? I use this theme in Debian Bookworm (Xfce 4.16) and I can't see any trouble with it. I would appreciate returning the package to the repo if there is no real blocker anymore. Thank you Zbynek

Package: iputils-ping Version: 3:20200821-2 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: zbynek.mi...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, After iputils-ping upgrade to the recent version (3:20200821-2) I can see this error message when trying to ping any IPv4 address. # ping -c 1 127.0.0.1 ping: socket: Address family not supported by protocol PING 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.041 ms --- 127.0.0.1 ping statistics --- 1 packets transmitted, 1 received, 0% packet loss, time 0ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.041/0.041/0.041/0.000 ms It seems that it is because ping tries to open an IPv6 socket: # strace ping -c 1 127.0.0.1 2>&1 | grep 'AF_INET6' socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_DGRAM, IPPROTO_ICMPV6) = -1 EAFNOSUPPORT (Address family not supported by protocol) I have IPv6 disabled in my system (by ipv6.disable=1 kernel option), so I would expect ignoring the IPv6 stuff at all (even without using "-4" ping parameter explicitly). Dear Maintainers, How does it look with fixing this issue? It is more than year from reporting it here and nothing happened so far. Could you fix it, please? Unfortunately there is no activity from the upstream developers. I believe that this FileChooser behaviour is really annoying for many Debian users! Thanks Zbynek
Bug#755530: wordpress: Cannot upload an image into Media Library
Hi, I used standard configuration script from /usr/share/doc/wordpress/examples/setup-mysql.gz. This section is interesting: echo Trying to create wp-content directory: $CONTENT mkdir -p $CONTENT ln -sf /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/themes $CONTENT/themes ln -sf /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/plugins $CONTENT/plugins ln -sf /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/languages $CONTENT/languages echo Setting up permissions mkdir -p $CONTENT/blogs.dir $CONTENT/uploads chown -R root:www-data $CONTENT/blogs.dir $CONTENT/uploads chmod -R 0774 $CONTENT/blogs.dir $CONTENT/uploads I do not understand, why themes, plugins and languages dirs are symlinks, and for uploads and blogs.dir is created a directory. If I have a look into wordpress_3.6.1+dfsg-1~deb7u3_all.deb package, all five dirs are there with appropriate privilegies: /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/plugins /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/languages /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/themes /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/blogs.dir /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/uploads So I would expect to make a symlinks to all these dirs from /srv/www/wp-content/example.com/. Package: wordpress Version: 3.6.1+dfsg-1~deb7u3 Severity: important Hi there, It is impossible to correctly upload an image into Media Library and use it afterwards. I tried to upload an image this way: Media - Add New - Select Files The image will be uploaded in fact, but will not be showed in Wordpress. Bug#573144: Re: Re: Re: Bug#573144: linux-image-2.6-686: kernel freezes related to i915 handle error
So it has been really caused by xserver-xorg-video-radeon. I have downgraded from 6.13.0-2 to previous 6.12.6-1 and freezing gone :) Zbynek On Tue, Jun 29, 2010 at 11:02:55AM +0200, Zbynek Michl wrote: So 2.6.32-3-686 freezes too. I have tried the latest 2.6.34-1-686_2.6.34-1~experimental.2_i386 with no luck. also we will shortly make 2.6.35-rcX available. the old intel driver support is since some time messy, sorry for that. Do you think intel driver in the kernel? Couldn't be there any connection with x.org driver (xserver-xorg-video-radeon in my case)? So 2.6.32-3-686 freezes too. I don't know how to debug it, because kernel seems to be completely dead :( Zbynek Hello, I am experiencing the same problem in 2.6.32-5-686 and 2.6.34-1-686 on my Acer laptop with i855 chipset. System freezes randomly as described by Eric. I guess that 2.6.32-3-686 was fine, but I am not sure (have not this kernel anymore). Bug#307096: Visible password
You must not misuse option 'username' the way you do, it is for pam_mount only. Hmm, I should read man page more carefully next time. So I used secrets file instead. Bug#307096: Visible password
Hi there, if I specify username as an option when mounting fs, then the password is visible on screen when typing it. Example: # mount -t davfs -o username=myname https://myserver.cz/mydir /mnt/mnt/ Password: mypassword Regards, Zbynek -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
