Bug#904677: Maybe also with german layout

Hi I just added info to the bug #908287 (about keybindings not working). Right after I searched for further information and came across that maybe the language destroys the keybindings. Most custom keybindings on my Debian Setup (english, but german keyboard layout) do not work.

Hi I have the same problem like Helen. I've encountered the error also for e.g. "Menu" and "View". If I set custom binding they will not work. I am getting the error on Debian Buster and on a fresh Debian Bullseye (minimal, only systemtools) Installation.
