Package: gpsd
Version: 2.33-4
gpsd configures udev (and hotplug) to grab hold of the tty created
when a pl2303 device (several vendor / product ID combinations) is
attached to the system.
This is not quite right, although some gps devices incorporate pl2303
the pl2303 is also used in generic
Package: linux-image-2.6.15-1-686
Version: 2.6.15-1
I upgraded to linux-image-2.6.15-1-686 and found that kismet no longer
worked. Neither could I set the card into monitor mode via iwconfig or
airmon. It's an ipw2915, which has worked more or less with various
ipw2200 drivers until today.
