I tried to install bluez-utils on a headless server and found that it pulls in
a massive list of gtk stuff when I don't even have X installed. Needless to say
I cannot run bluez-bin then what is the point of pulling it in ?
If it is
I can run other frame buffer based application fine, including freevo, mencoder

This actually should be an upstream bug. The current oss emulation
code(sound_oss.c)
use register_sound_special to register the minor device. register_sound_special
would search for the first available slot. But the coding in alsa basically

I tried to use v4l to stream my webcam content. Everything works but I cannot
get any audio output even though the right /dev/dsp is specified. I then went
through the source code and found something which IMO is logically not correct.
