Bug#562623: qpsmtpd: Not listening on port 25 when using prefork

2009-12-26 Thread kaouete
Package: qpsmtpd
Version: 0.83-1
Severity: important

Hello, when I use the prefork method of qpsmtpd, it looks like it is not
listening on the port 25.
If I just change it to forkserver, then it listens on it.
It always listen on port 465.

Thanks for your help!

Bug#562623: qpsmtpd: Not listening on port 25 when using prefork

2009-12-26 Thread kaouete
I am sorry, this was a mistake on my side, I modified the init
script to support the port 465 and of course in prefork it doesn't
handle multiple --port arguments.

I will address this in a feature request :)

Sorry for the noise, you can close this bug.

Bug#540791: Add support for multiple port and/or ip adresses in qpsmtpd startup script

2009-08-10 Thread kaouete
Package: qpsmtpd
Version: 0.81-2
Severity: normal

Hello,

Can it be possible to add support for multiple port and/or ip adresses in
qpsmtpd startup script?

For example when using the tls plugin, you can use the port 465
to do SMTP over SSL.

Since I had this need, I thought that maybe some peoples would need to be
able to do the same for listening ip adresses...

Thanks

I was trying a client (minbif: http://symlink.me/wiki/minbif/) using libpurple

I am wondering if it is ok to let these plugins into the package since they

Hi kaouete, I don't think the ipv6 patch should be applied to the
default djbdns package. Maybe an additional djbdns-ipv6 package or so
 could be created eventually.

Hello,

I don't really understand why it should not be applied to the
default djbdns package since it only adds features and do not
modify the other.

Someone not using ipv6 records will not see the difference, and
someone using them will like the fact it is easy to use them.

I don't think this patch modify the behavior of djbdns, but maybe
I missed something.

As for the other patches, I would like to decide on case-by-case basis,
once a specific patch has been requested.

You are right, for now I have no use for other patches, but when
the time will come, I will request them :)

 Thanks, Gerrit.

Thanks for your answer,

Victor

Bug#466992: libdspam7-drv-mysql.cron.daily has a strange way of determining type of $MYSQL_HOST

2008-02-22 Thread kaouete
Package: libdspam7-drv-mysql
Version: 3.6.8-5etch1
Severity: normal

Hello

I think that libdspam7-drv-mysql.cron.daily is really strange in the way it
tries to
determine the type of $MYSQL_HOST.

the first test succeed if MYSQL_HOST is empty or beginning with a /
if it fails, we test *again* if it is beginning with a / (and we do
it differently that in the first test ...) !

Should'nt the first test be only to test if MYSQL_HOST is empty ?

Sorry if I misunderstood something,

Thanks

Bug#450482: roundcube: Warning of ob_start() about conflict between ob_gzhandler and zlib output compression

2007-11-07 Thread kaouete

Hi,

After a fresh install of roundcube, I get this warning on every pages :
Warning: ob_start() [ref.outcontrol]: output handler 'ob_gzhandler'
conflicts with 'zlib output compression' in /usr/share/roundcube/index.php on

I commented the part where ob_start is called with ob_gzhandler to get ride of
it,
but I guess this should be fixed upstream, or maybe there is a conflict with
the php.ini
from debian or maybe I modified it and i should not have done it ...

Thanks you :)

Bug#401222: tomcat5.5: Can't load JDBC driver jar when needed (more general problem ?)

2006-12-01 Thread kaouete
Package: tomcat5.5
Version: 5.5.20-2
Severity: important

Hi,

I was trying to test a simple webapp using a jndi declared jdbc
datasource but i couldn't make it work.

After a lot of test and the help of people on #tomcat on freenode, this
is what i can say :
1) i am using tomcat 5.5 from unstable, with sun-java5-jdk and mysql5.0,
i downloaded the mysql connectorJ 5.0.3 and i put it in
/usr/share/tomcat5.5/common/lib like the tomcat website tells me to do.
2) my app works on a server installed by hand with the downloaded
binaries from tomcat website.
3) my app doesnt work on debian with and without the security manager
4) i tried to run tomcat with -verbose:class in the CATALINA_OPTS and i
can say that the class needed by the DriverManager
(com.mysql.jdb.Driver) wasnt loaded, but other classes from common/lib
were.

I think there is a real problem with the debian tomcat package and a guy
from #tomcat said to me the same thing.

Thanks you for your work on tomcat,

kaouete

looks like the first one is better (but i didnt try any of them)

It would be really great to have it.

Maybe not now, but at some point like you said :)

It have always been complicated to have package supporting
vpopmail because of this contrib problem, for example for courier,
and i hope it will be possible for dovecot.

It might be possible at some point to have a seperate dovecot-vpopmail
source package in contrib containing just a module but at the moment it
has to be compiled within the dovecot source tree. And having a duplicate
dovecot-imapd, dovecot-pop3d just for one feature would...not be optimal.

You are right, there is a missing dependency, but it is unlikely that
dovecot will build-depends on libvpopmail because it is in contrib, and
for this reason dovecot would be moved to contrib too.

I'm preparing an upload to solve another build-dependency issue, and
 I'll disable vpopmail support.

this is what you have in udev logs when you plug your nomad :

MINOR=386
PHYSDEVPATH=/devices/pci:00/:00:03.3/usb4/4-5
PHYSDEVDRIVER=usb
UDEVD_EVENT=1
PHYSDEVBUS=usb

the 2 last are the one we are interested in :
there is one SUBSYSTEM=usb (the one you catch)
and another one SUBSYSTEM=usb_device (the one all the app using
last etch libusb use)(see
http://packages.qa.debian.org/libu/libusb/news/1.html)

the thing is not to just catch them in the udev rule, but the
script have to take into account that there is different variable
names in the two cases : DEVICE for the first and DEVNAME for the
second.

While i am at it, i wanted to ask if it was not better to make
libnjb5 conflicts with libnjb-hotplug since the second is merged
in the first.

Thanks for reading me.

Bug#336596: strange behavior

2005-11-21 Thread kaouete
Hi,

I'm not sure it is your problem, but mine appaired with it :]

The context : when i plub my usb device, udev change permissions
for it in /proc/bus/usb and NOT in /dev/bus/usb
This, because the rules script for udev take only in count the usb
SUBSYSTEM and not the usb_device one. So it change permission for
only the one in /proc/bus/usb.

The problem is that i think that a lot of package (libgphoto2 just
to name only one) is doing like that.

So when an app using libusb try to access to it, it try
in /dev/bus/usb, the fs says : you have not the permission ! and
the program stop here !! it doesnt check in /proc/bus/usb :/

In fact after i wrote that i can see that is COMPLETELY not your
problem, but as a debian maintainer, i think you will know how to
fix handle this situation more than me :

tell me if i'm wrong somewhere, it can be possible :]

thanks,
kaouete

And the problem wasnt in libgphoto2 in libsane.

You are missing the point, udev is not supposed to provide rules to
change the permissions of /dev/bus/ devices.
Probably the user just needs to upgrade libgphoto2.

Hi, i have attached a libnjb.rules to this report to have udev set
the rights permissions for the /proc/bus/usb/x/x device for the

The nomad.usermap is no longer needed since these informations are

more, if i apt-get sourche sane-backends and try to apply the
patches with ./debian/rules patch i get this output :
test -d debian/patched || install -d debian/patched
dpatch apply-all
applying patch 01_hotplug_usbids to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 02_tools_udev to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 11_hotplug_wait_for_device to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 12_gphoto2_link_backend_only to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 13_new_configure to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 21_sane-config.in_no_rpath to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 22_dll_backend_conf to ./ ... ok.

applying patch 32_plustek_update to ./ ... ok.
applying patch 33_sm3600_update to ./ ... ok.
dpatch cat-all patch-stampT
mv -f patch-stampT patch-stamp

I dont really understand why it is like that but i can see that
the patch was not appliqued.

Thanks for your work :)

Bug#332281: libsane: problem with multifunction printer/scanner and usblp module

2005-10-05 Thread kaouete
Package: libsane
Version: 1.0.16-2
Severity: important

Hi, i have a multifunction Epson printer/scanner CX5400.

When i try to use the scanner while usblp is loaded, i cant, you cant
find all the information about this problem there :
https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/?group_id=30186atid=410366func=detailaid=302207

It's not my bugreport but it is the bug i have.

I think that maybe a fix can be integrated in the debian version of sane
until a new version with the fix is released, since it is a bug that
seems to touch all the people with multifunction devices.

The fix is this one :
http://cvs.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/sane-backends/sanei/sanei_usb.c.diff?r1=1.42r2=1.43cvsroot=sane

Thanks for your work

Bug#331146: pure-ftpd: UserBandwidth conf is not working right

2005-10-01 Thread kaouete
Package: pure-ftpd
Version: 1.0.19-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

It looks like there is a problem with the UserBandwidth configuration
file :

when we need to put an infinite value, the man page of pure-ftpd says to
not put any number, for exemple : -T :50 for infinite up and 60kbps
down.
The problem is the function checking this value not taking it like two
number, so pure-ftpd-wrapper do not want to start :/

for now i fix it by putting a very high value for the first number.

Thanks.

kaouete
