Bug#842961: add missing backtrace

2016-11-05 Thread stefan esterer
Hi Carsten,

I'm sorry to say that the crash isn't reproducable anymore since the
mail provider is working again (i.e. riseup's smtp server sending
mails). This hints for icedove having problems with error handling.

If the problem reoccurs, I will try to collect the full log and will
use the iedove-dbg package.

Btw. I'm using the current icedove version in testing. i.e.:
apt-cache policy icedove

Bug#842961: crash reproducable when sending mail

2016-11-03 Thread stefan esterer
I'm getting a segmentation fault error in icedove when sending a mail
via smtp.riseup.net. Sending via gmail does not trigger the crash.

Here is a log which was collected as this page [1] suggests:
Thread 1 "icedove-bin" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x7fffc6e1d060 in ?? ()

This crash is reproducable for me, the crash happens every time I try to
send a mail. I suppose this could be linked with the risup service not
accesible at this time?

Bug#819336: linux: lenovo t460 suspend fails when on battery

2016-03-26 Thread stefan esterer
Source: linux
Version: 4.4.6-1
Severity: important
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

When having the notebook on the AC, suspending works. But if the notebook is on
batteries and I close the lid to suspend, the notebook freezes instantly.
When I add the intel_pstate=no_hwp parameter to the grub configuration, the
problem vanishes, but the notebook uses more power.

There already exists a kernel bug tracker entry for this problem: Bug 113551 -
intel_pstate=no_hwp else Thinkpad T460s freezes on lid close on battery power
(https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113551).
I can confirm this problem on my T460 device.

Bug#634965: mediathekview: Array Out Of Index Exception on Startup

2012-10-04 Thread Stefan Esterer
Sorry for the late answer...

Today I have tested the 2.4.0-4 version (testing) and it worked like a charm.
I installed the 3.0.0-1 (unstable) version too and it started without
problems...

So the bug is not reproduce able for me anymore.. thx for the effort!

Bug#320053: kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686: Installing it with sarge leads to failing at booting next time

2005-07-26 Thread Stefan Esterer
Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

I was installing Sarge on to my new notebook (Acer Extensa 4102 WLMI)
with linux26 (so it installs the 2.6.8-2 kernel).
Everything goes ok till the next reboot in which Sarge would ask me
further questions about the system.
After i choose the Sarge install in grub the kernel stops after some
time with :

modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting pciehp
(/lib/modules/2.6.8-2-686/kernel/drivers/pci/hotplug/shpchp.ko):
Operation not permitted
shpchp: can't be loaded
[...]
hw_random: can't be loaded
[...]
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual adress
0024
[...]
i810_audio: can't be loaded
[...]

So tried with bootoption
pnpbios=off
pci=nosort
acpi=off
apm=off

but nothing works..

plz help me with my problem and thx for the great work
stefan
