xorg 7.0.10 works fine, upgrade was smooth, no hitches or errors.

dentd[8691]: netlink_lookup: write failed: Connection refused still
occurs, the module tcp_diag needs to be loaded. It is a module in the
default 2.6.16 .config, CONFIG_INET_DIAG. Loading it solves the error.
