Bug#747160: [Pkg-libvirt-maintainers] Bug#747160: libvirtError: Failed to connect socket to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock': Permission denied

2014-05-07 Thread war.dhan

excuse for the delay in replying
gmail considers email from debian as spam

adding myself to libvirt hasn't solved my issue.
# adduser username libvirt

however your words about permissions lead me read
/usr/share/doc/libvirt-bin/README.Debian..

by uncommenting the #(xend-unix-server yes) line, now i am able to use
virt-manager.

thank you regards,
war.dhan

Dear Maintainer,

* What led up to the situation?
trying to use with xen with virt-manager.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
  ineffective)?
launch gui virt-manager.

* What was the outcome of this action?
it shows the following message :

Unable to connect to libvirt.

Failed to connect socket to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock': Permission denied

Verify that:
  - A Xen host kernel was booted
  - The Xen service has been started

Libvirt URI is: xen:///

Traceback (most recent call last):

libvirtError: Failed to connect socket to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock':

This means that the user trying to access libvirt's socket can't do
so. Check if:

* virsh works
* /usr/share/doc/libvirt-bin/README.Debian about permissions

Bug#726974: trigger-rally: opens in full-screen mode changes the default screen resolution

2013-10-25 Thread war.dhan

On Tuesday 22 October 2013 11:19 PM, Stefan Potyra wrote:

Hi,

hm... interesting. While trigger-rally changes the resolution
if fullscreen is set to true in ~/.trigger/trigger.config, it should
restore the original resolution when you quit the game.

Can you launch trigger-rally in a terminal and capture the output?
Maybe it can shed some more light on what's going on.

here is the output :
