Bug#643013: leafpad aborts citing segmentation fault

2018-05-13 Thread Jack Underwood
For me leafpad aborted instantly with a segfault due to a corrupted
.config/leafpad/leafpadrc file.

Take a look at it and if it looks like garbage, then there you go, delete the
file and voila leafpad works again :).
I guess leafpad should autodetect bad data coming from the rc file.

Bug#643013: leafpad aborts citing segmentation fault

2011-09-26 Thread shirish शिरीष
Package: leafpad
Version: 0.8.18.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi all,
 I updated to the new leafpad today. I was checking some
changelogs using leafpad before the update. When I tried the same with
the new version it resulted into a segmentation fault.

$ zcat changelog.gz | leafpad
Segmentation fault

Can somebody look into this. There is no leafpad-dbg hence cannot use
gdb to debug it.

$ aptitude search leafpad
i leafpad - GTK+ based simple text editor

If a debug build can be provided then would run it in gdb and perhaps
be able to give more info.

Thanx in advance.
