Bug#654659: ITP: plover
retitle 654659 ITP: plover -- stenotype input method owner 654659 ! thanks Sorry for letting this lie for so long. I've redone the packaging of the latest weekly at the advice of upstream, and it seems to be in a good state. I'm holding off on uploading it until a more experienced plover user tests my debs, but that should be happening in the next week. Sincerely, -- Harlan Lieberman-Berg ~hlieberman

Bug#654659: ITP: plover -- stenotype input method
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-CC: debian-de...@lists.debian.org Plover is a stenotype input method for X11. It allows input of English text using chords rather than letter by letter, enabling typing speeds to approach 300wpm for a skilled user. It can use a dedicated stenotype machine, or a standard QWERTY keyboard as long as it permits chords to be passed to the computer. Plover is written in Python. The licence is GPL v2. Its name rhymes with lover, not over, just as with the name of the wading bird.
