However, since this is not done yet, I would suggest applying the proposed patches to the debian packages nevertheless, because they are not wrong and can be dropped with the next upstream release when the problematic patch has been removed. Can you do that, please? Also, please tell me if there is anything I can assist you with. Alright, it's done. As I don't have upload rights yet, I've placed the updated package on mentors, see http://mentors.debian.net/package/acoustid-fingerprinter If you could review and sponsor if everything checks out, that'd be appreciated. The package looks good (i.e. it builds with both libav9 and 10), so I uploaded it. You may want to consider joining the Debian Multimedia team [0] if you need sponsoring for future uploads. Bug#739208: Please help with the libav10 transition
Dear maintainer, I'm writing you because your package is part of the upcoming libav10 transtion, and this bug is blocking its progress, see Julien's reply to my latest inquiry: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=740210#22 Please note that Julien requests all packages to be fixed before starting this transition. That means that libav10 will not be in unstable before this bug is fixed. Note that according to previous messages in this bug, this particular issue has already been fixed either upstream or a patch fixing this has been attached in a previous message. Therefore, please do not hesitate to fix this bug by uploading a new version of this package with a fix for this bug included to debian/experimental so that you can build-depend against the libav (= 6:10~). If you need help with the patch or have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to address your question to me, to the libav10 transition bug 739...@bugs.debian.org, or the release or pkg-multimedia team. Thank you for your help! -- regards, Reinhard -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
