I couldn't find URL I have used for testing before do this bug
report. But some others ones, that returns different hostname than
what in request  are working. So, I think , You can close this
issue.

There were many changes in this area in Kodi. Could you please check
if the issue is still present in 17.x?

Dear Maintainer,

If You try to play MRL like this:

http://host-1/uri-1

and it returns http header:
Location: http://host-2/uri-2/playlist.m3u8

that in turn return somthing like chunklist.m3u8, then kodi trying to play MRL 
like this:

http://host-1/uri-1/chunklist.m3u8

that is wrong. It should be

http://host-2/uri-2/chunklist.m3u8
