Yes, I omitted to use the ‘dpkg-maintscript-helper’ tool for this job.
I will need to correct that in maintainer scripts in a future release.

Hi,

It seems that the package is moving the bash completion file from
/etc/bash_completion.d/ to /usr/share/bash-completion/completions but
the file in /etc is not remved on upgrade.

The package should explicitly remove that file on upgrade
