I do work mostly on the R bindings though (which I could / should / might)
package, not the C++ side.
Cool. So will proceed and try to sort things out. I only turned hdfs off as I
hoped it might help with unit test outcomes (it didn't) so I may turn that
back on. I really want serialization in but need to wait for capnproto 0.8.0
to hit unstable / testing. And I really want s3 support but that is more
complicated still.
