for those who have problems with ipp-usb under sid ,
the solution is to downgrade to the stable version of this package.

on the other hand, during your manipulations, be very careful not to uninstall
cups.
sometimes, automatic updates surprise you. so, be careful.

waiting for the update of ipp-usb by the debian developers.

all works nearly perfectly .

the printer is well recognized .
ipp-usb works perfectly .

i can print a test page .
tested with a text document from a web site .
i think all is ok .

now the printer can stop .
the pc is ok , too (didn't tested exactly but i think so)

only one thing to notice :
on the test page , characters are a little too big .
a big line usually writen in the width of the page now exceeds the width of the
page and is truncated .

don't know how to solve it but that's a minor problem .

The ipp-usb service is active but neither 'driverless' nor ippfind
see the printer and sane-airscan does not appear to work. You also
cannot access the web interface. I am lost!

The message

  ipp-usb is not ready for this device

is coming from ipp-usb. It seems to me that this is the most important
information you have supplied.

I suggest you report this issue upsteam (give the error message).

that cleary shows your printer is new enough to support IPP-over-USB.
Why not repeat all the commands I gave there?

This seems more a matter of your setup on unstable and unrelated to
printing.

There isn't any sign of your ENVY 5536 and I haven't any idea
what bbox is.

Is the ENVY *directly* connected to a USB port on the computer?

and i don'ont think my printer is a e-All-In-One
is this  an other model of my printer ?
from which year .

Let's be clear; you are using unstable? Is the printer USB or network
connected?

I'm writing to you because for the last week ,
I have printing problems with cups.
I can't get anything despite my research.
I don't even have the test page.

I thought, at the beginning, that the problem came from dpkg.
because of the concomitance with its update.
I asked the bts for help but it failed.
Maybe I did too much?

under bullseye stable, everything works perfectly.
either under bookkworm or testing (tested quickly)
and even more so, under sid (my distribution),
nothing works. no way to print even a test page.
