I've done a prelim (UNRELEASED) packaging of 1.2, see packaging repo fork https://salsa.debian.org/bap/paprefs
I've enabled CI, so if you go to CI/CD>Pipelines and click on the "build" job, you should be able to download a built binary amd64 package as one of the "Job artifacts" on the right.
