Hi,

This is not a bug in vim(1), since I can't reproduce it with --clean.
However, I can reproduce it with -u NONE, so I guess it's some plugin.
But I didn't install any plugins myself, so this is with whatever the
defaults are in Debian, I guess.

The issue is reproducible as:

(1)  Go to insert mode.
(2)  Press backspace.  It should remove a character; but doesn't.
