i used the below command to purge:
*sudo apt purge r8168-dkms*
*find /lib/modules /usr/src /var/lib/dkms -name '*r8168*'*
output:
/lib/modules/5.10.0-23-amd64/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/realtek/r8168.ko.bak
Please note that I have reinstalled my linux kernel in an attempt to make
the ethernet
