in the debian/sid branch on salsa.debian.org:pberndt-guest/pqiv.git, right?

Sounds good.

Yes. Thanks!

Hi Don,

this probably got lost. Could you build & upload the package, please?

I double checked, the package still builds without warning (except for
one complaint by groff about the manpage, which I think we can live
with and which I'll fix upstream for the next releast).

Thanks,
Phillip

Any news on this?

pqiv used to be able to playback videos (mp4 / mpg) on debian 11 (and
still after updating to 12).

With a fresh install of debian 12 (pqiv 2.12) pqiv cannot do this anymore.

Ok. Made that change, and confirmed that the package still builds and
lintian is happy. We're good to go.

I noticed there's some build warnings emitted by the dependencies by
now. They don't block the build yet, so I'll fix those upstream
separately.

Yep! Once you're happy with the state of the git tree, let me know, and
I can build it and do an upload.

[We can also request a rebuild of a package, but since there are source
changes, we might as well do that.]

Thanks! I confirmed that a rebuild fixes this: In sid, the deb I get
out recommends

Recommends: libarchive13 (>= 3.0.4), libavcodec59 (>= 7:5.0),
libavformat59 (>= 7:5.0), libavutil57 (>= 7:5.0), libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0
(>= 2.27.1), libmagickwand-6.q16-6 (>= 8:6.9.10.2), libpoppler-glib8
(>= 0.18.0), libswscale6 (>= 7:5.0), libwebp7 (>= 1.2.4)

Since this is a sponsored package and I cannot actually rebuild
anything myself, I'll need help with this.

**Don**, what are the right next steps here? There's also a yet
unreleased, automated standard update change

I assume I'll have to update UNRELEASED to unstable, and then you
issue a build on 2.12-2?
