Bug#1059531: thunderbird: calendar shows repeating events after end date

I see the following event in my calendar:
Title:  redacted
Calendar:       MS Exchange
Start Date:     Tue, 2024-01-02 15:00
End Date:       Tue, 2024-01-02 16:30
Repeat: 	Occurs every 2 weeks effective 2022-02-01 until 2023-12-05  
from 15:00 to 16:30.

This should not be possible, right?
