Thanks for clarification, I wasn't aware of this.

Well, it happend yesterday, and today again. But since they don't use
the BTS, the bug could be closed.

How should I properly report this if/once it appears again?

Greetings

Helge

packages.debian.org is entirely unrelated to tracker.debian.org. It's
managed by the web team AFAIK.

That said if the issue was at the TLS connection level, it's likely
the DSA team that can help... but since the issue is gone, I wonder
whether we shouldn't just close the bug, in particular since the DSA
team doesn't use the bug tracker.

Cheers,

2024-01-07 Thread Helge Kreutzmann
Package: tracker.debian.org
Severity: important

Yesterday and today connections to package.debian.org is *extremely*
slow, sometimes running into timeouts (failing). My scripts ran last
ime Sat Dec 9 17:01:56 2023 +0100 without issues.

Example with wget:
helge@twentytwo:/tmp/testsite$ wget --verbose

(English (translated by me):

When it succeeds, this take ages:

I observere this similarly with other clients, e.g. links.

Other https site(s) work fine, e.g.

This causes a data collection script of mine, which usually runs in a
few minutes, to take hours (and still be incomplete).

I don't know how to get more information, links does not offer a
verbose switch and for wget I don't see more than the information
posted. I'm happy to provide more information if you tell me which.
