Is there any reason for the current ordering of the output? If no I think sorting it would make alot of sense as currently we dont get the list of all files in a folder in one cluster or files in alphabetical order. If there is a reason, maybe it could be mentioned on the manual page. E.g. "dlocate -L ncal" output (on bullseye) looks just ugly and wrong to me, note the 3rd binary mentioned close to end and how the ncal man page preceeds the cal man page. /. /usr /usr/bin /usr/bin/ncal /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/ncal /usr/share/doc/ncal/NEWS.Debian.gz /usr/share/doc/ncal/changelog.gz /usr/share/doc/ncal/copyright /usr/share/man /usr/share/man/man1 /usr/share/man/man1/ncal.1.gz /usr/bin/cal /usr/share/man/man1/cal.1.gz
