reassign 272644 libburn4 thanks I think this is fixed in libburn 0.4.2-1 but upstream are still paranoid about the interaction between hal and CD burning software. Possibly rightly so.
It's complicated further by the fact that you can access the CD writer over multiple devices e.g. /dev/sg* and /dev/sr* or scd*.
